Special Mode for Professionals

This mode exist in the PS2 version only.

Hit Disp mode will available immediately after you completed the game in the Hi Score Try mode. The words HIT DISP OFF will appear in the centre of the screen once you paused the game, showing you this mode is off in default. Use the Left or Right direction control to switch between ON/OFF.

By turn it into HITDISP ON, enemies, Vic Viper and their weapons etc. will show up their exact hitable areas represented by different colored rectangles. It feels like breaking the code of the game program. (See the "TIP & CODES" section for more details.)

Uncover The Mask

Hit Disp mode is interesting but you may not prefer to turn it on all the time.

As refered to my experiences, there will have advantages if HIT DISP is ON in some locations such as within the Liquid Metal stage, and in the "spider" section of the final stage.

Moreover, you will like to study the bosses with HIT DISP ON. This can be done quickly and easily by starting the game in the Boss Rush Mode.
