About Me
I am the writer of the The Seeing Eye's Annual Report for 1999, Guiding A Vision.  I am also a graduate of the school.   For the benefit of anyone reading this who might not be familiar with the organization,The Seeing Eye is the premier guide dog school in the United States.  It has been teaming Seeing Eye dogs and blind handlers successfully for 71 years.  Last year I was given the opportunity to write the text for their annual report from a graduate's view.  It was received with great warmth and acclaim, winning four ARC International awards, including Gold for Written Text.  Gulp!  Written text.  That's me!  I was deeply honored at being singled out of 1400 entries submitted by experienced writers around the world.

While I wait for the rest of the world to recognize that they are in the presence of true literary genius, I work as the Recreation and Volunteer Coordinator/Advocatefor a CIL (Center for Independent Living) in New Jersey.  I'm also the facilitator for Monday Morning Project, a grassroots advocacy group for and by persons with all types of disabilities.

Oh, by the way.  You will never see me without my guiding angel.  She walks faithfully at my left side, guiding me safely through the busy city streets or the quiet country lanes.  Her name is Quilt, the Amazing, a four-year-old Lab/Golden cross from The Seeing Eye in Morristown, NJ.
