Helpful Hints
Occasionally I receive
some good helpful hints in my email. So I thought I'd share a few of those that are worth passing along.
Bounce Fabric Sheets
(many uses)
1. Chases bees, mosquitoes and ants away
– Tie a sheet of Bounce through a belt loop or stick
one in a pocket when outdoors. It will also chase ants away when you lay a sheet near them.
2. Freshens
and prevents musty odors - Place a sheet of Bounce inside old books or empty luggage.
3. Freshens the
air in your home or car - Place
a sheet of Bounce in a drawer or hang in the closet. Place one under the front seat of your car, too.
4. Eliminates
odors in wastebaskets and dirty laundry -
Place a sheet of Bounce at the bottom of the wastebasket and
in your hamper or laundry bag.
5. Deodorizes
shoes or sneakers - Place a sheet of Bounce in your shoes overnight.
6. Eliminates
static electricity from blinds and the TV screen - Wipe your Venetian blinds with a sheet of Bounce to prevent dust from resettling. Wipe the TV screen with
a used sheet to repel further dust.
7. Prevents
thread from tangling - Run a threaded needle through a sheet of Bounce before beginning to sew.
8. Collects
pet hairs and sawdust - Rubbing the area with a sheet of Bounce will magnetically attract loose hairs, sawdust, etc.
9. Dissolves soap scum from shower
doors - Clean them with a sheet
of Bounce.
10. Cleans baked-on
foods from a cooking pan - Put a sheet in a pan, fill with water, let sit overnight, and sponge clean. The antistatic agent apparently
weakens the bond between the food and the pan.
