Recipe for Murder is the second Patrick and Grace Mystery. The senior sleuths wing their way to Albany, Nebraska, after learning that their friend Walter Schmidt was found hanging in the apple shed. Convinced that it wasn't suicide, they have to try to unravel the clues, which lead to a myriad of suspects. They have to overcome the suspicions of the local yokels, additional hangings (of a scarecrow, fortunately), hotrod kids and bonky bankers.
There are so many twists and turns it will make you jump every time anybody says "Boo!"

House Call to the Past

Witches, pirates, black cats and things that go "Bump" in the night. Those are the makings of a good Halloween read. Add in a modern day OB/GYN doctor who can wander through a field of poverty grass and end up in 1713 Cape Cod, and you have a thrilling tale that will haunt you for weeks to come.

House Call to the Past won a RIO Award of Excellence in 2005. Maria Hallett and Pirate Black Sam Bellamy were real historical personages. Just for fun, try to google them.

Enjoy your trip into the past.
