Dick Van Patten was born December 9, 1928, in New York City. His earliest noted work is the 1949-1957 television series "Mama". His most recent television appearance (that I can remember) was with his sister Joyce, was on The Dick Van Dyke series Diagnosis Murder (back in November 1993).

Where is he now??? As of November 1996, he was appearing as Cap'n Andy, in the musical "Showboat".
