Diana Hyland was born on January 25, 1936, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Her earliest noted work was in 1953, where she appeared on The United States Steel Hour in the episode: "Wanted: Someone Innocent". Diana Hyland appeared in many popular television series (mainly guest starring roles). Her body of work included Dr. Kildare, The Fugitive and Happy Days.
She also appeared opposite John Travolta, in the made for television movie The Boy in the Plastic Bubble.
Diana Hyland had appeared in only four episodes of "Eight is Enough", when cancer took her life.
