Vivian Alamain is a character you absolutely love & hate at the same time. She brings wit, charm and class to Salem. Some of my favorite story lines have involved her, including Carly being buried alive. I also think Ivan needs to be paired back with Vivian, as the two of them provide comic relief and seem to feed off each other. Please, do not make the mistake of letting her go!
They should keep Louise because there is no other character like her on the show. She adds so much zest and laughter. When Ivan, Celeste, and Vivian were together they were always reminding you how come you love Days -- the variety and traits in each character are wonderfully unique. "Vivian" was the most unique and it would be very sad to lose her!!

Since the character of Vivian first arrived on the show, she has been my favorite. Over the years, I have never known what to expect from Vivian. She always kept me guessing about what she would do next. Louise Sorel is a talented actress who successfully brought to life a multi-faceted character that I feel, is the most memorable in Days of Our Lives history. The show will definitely feel empty if Sorel leaves. Please take into consideration everything that she brings to the show before you allow her talent to slip away. Thank you,

I think that Vivian is a necessity to the show. She is so funny and smart and I think that the show could do a lot more with the talented Louise Sorel. There are so many ways to use Louise Sorel talents. At times the character Vivian acts as a good comic relief for the viewers. No one anymore is funny on the show. Vivian is one of the Charc. that keeps the show interesting. To let her go, would make the show a lot less interesting. She has a lot fans. She's bright, witty, and funny, and a likeable attitude. I have watched this show sense I was a very small little girl. And Vivian is one charc. that I love to watch on the show. I hope that it will be decided to keep her on the show. What is wrong with Days? Why would they want to get rid of Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel)? Letting her go is a stupid idea. Most of us are very upset about let her to be written off. She keeps everyone in Salem and soap land guessing with her wit and outlandish schemes and no one can carry them off like Louise. Not enough for Vivian to do? Rubbish!! She can do it all very well!! All you need to do is keep those ideas coming and Louise will carry them off like no one else. Keep Louise. Keep Vivian. Keep your viewers and keep them happy!!!!!!

Louise Sorel has proven herself over the years as a dynamic and diverse actress. One of the most engergetic actors on the show, Sorel has made us laugh and cry along with her during her time on the show. Not renewing her contract is a serious disservice, not only to one of the most talented daytime actresses, but the millions of dedicated Days fans throughout the world.
I think that Days should keep Vivian Alamain ( Louise Sorel) on Days because in my opinion, I think she is a great actress and has a good sense of humor. She has done some mean things to people over the years and I think her and Nancy are the most funniest people to me on the show. Vivian has had some good storylines over the years and it is not fair to her that the powers to be decided that she would leave the show. I would understand her leaving if she wanted off the show but it is not the powers that be's job to decide that a character like Vivian should be off the show!!!!!!!!
Speaking of the powers that be, I have something else I want to say about Days. I'm 24 years old and I've been watching the show for most of my life and I am about tired of ALL the stupid storylines!!!! The storyline that almost made me quit watching was when Marlena was possessed by the devil. I came very close to stop watching Days but I decided to continue to watch it. The most recent things on the show were when Princess Gina was trying to escape from the place in Paris and she was having that John was there telling her something. The other thing that was weird and STUPID to me was the other week when John was rubbing his hand on his gash on his head and it then showed what was going on in the gash. PLEASE SPARE ME!!!!!! In closing,let me assure you that I was not trying be ugly but I have a theory that the reason Days very rarely wins any Soap Opera Awards is because of the stupid storylines. I hate to say this but if Days doesn't get any better, I have a good feeling that some of your most faith- ful viewers are going to stop watching Days and Days could go off the air. I DON"T want that to happen so think about what I have said.

Dear Mr. Corday:
I never write in to shows requesting characters to stay or leave because my time is very limited. I care for my mother 24/7 and have done so for the past 8 years. She is terminally ill and so is my stepfather who has alzheimer's. They live with me in Connecticut. I also have a 4 year old daughter as well. Over the past 10 years, I have had 3 cancer surgeries while having to care for both parents.
One of the most incredible bonding experiences has been watching Days. And one of the characters that continuously brings a smile to all our faces is Louise Sorel as the phenomenal Vivian Alamain...she is the "Auntie Mame" of Days, and brings such vivaciousness and levity to her performance...she is beguiling and befriending...I want to just go for tea at the Plaza with her! I want to travel the Oriental Express with her and bring steamer trunks...we all can live vicariously through Vivian and her antics...
To all of us and I'm sure many more fans, Vivian epitomizes what great daytime is all about...she is never boring and always entertaining and enchanting. The storyline for her is just heating up...what fun and intrigue there will be in finding out if she will break up Kate and Victor's romance/marriage....what if Nicolas wants to marry Kate? How will Vivian accept her into the family? How can Nicolas have a future without Vivian? This is one storyline that needs cohesiveness....you MUST keep Louise...and I do hope you will bring back her other partner in crime, Ivan! Those two were the "Lucy and Ethel" of the show...I would cry from laughing so hard at the two of the them. Louise has such comedic skills as well as dramatic ones as you can see by all the awards she receives...
If ever there was a character that would need to be let go for lack of interest and utter boredom, it's Marlena. I either fast forward through those painful scenes of Marlena and John or yawn if I must watch....she is as interesting as a tsetse fly...I honestly have never found her character convincing or intriguing at all and I have watched DAYS since 1969.
My daughter absolutely adores Vivian...she knows all of the show's characters but holds Vivian near and dear to her heart...she laughs when Vivian is on as does my dear mother...it does all our hearts good to have some comedy in our lives throughout this horrific ordeal at home...Louise brightens this family's days for the rest of our lives!
Please do NOT let her go; our hearts will forever be broken!

I think they are making a very big mistake. There have been times in the past that the story line was so boring that the only reason I kept watching was because of Vivian and Ivon. Some of Vivian's antics would make me laugh out loud, which is something I rarely do when I am watching a tv show. Do not let her go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please reconsider your decision to let Louise Sorel go at the end of her contract. Louise is a very talented and gifted performer who adds so much to the show. This will cause an uproar in the fans and I believe the ratings will plummet and since ratings are all the producers care about it would be very stupid of them to not take this into consideration!!! Louise Sorel has been one of the shining stars of Days of Our Lives for so long, it is extremely sad and upsetting that she is being let go. Never has the show been better than when Vivian, Ivan, and Celeste are up to something. Louise compliments anyone she works with. She has chemistry with everyone. At her best during comic moments, she is also extremely talented in the dramatic arena. Please re-sign Louise to another contract. She is irreplaceable.
I can't believe they are going to get rid of Vivian!! Louise has done an outstanding job portraying this character. The show is going to the "kids", and I am watching less often as it is -- a little of the high school scenes goes a long way. The least they could do is keep some of the more mature characters to balance the show!!! Vivian and Victor together could be a fantastic storyline.

But you bring her back from the dead.Is that what you are planning for Vivian? Kill her off then bring her back in a few years as one of Stefo pawns again? You are are changing the show too much. Granted some change is good but not too much. Please really really think over your decision about letting Vivian go. I am sorry but I don't like the younger storylines if I wanted to watch little twits I would turn on FOX or WB. I think taking Vivian off the show is terrible. She has and continues to be an outstanding character. Her charisma and charm are just part of the reason she is vital to the show. Her wacky stunts couldn't be played by anyone else.
She is an integral part of the show. Without her, the show would be very dull. There would be no body to cause mischief in Salem. Keep her on!!!!
Days should keep Vivian on the show because of many things: 1. She has proven herself as an actress to put her heart into any type of situation given to her.
2. She is a fan favorite because of her character, but her acting ability to portray Vivian in various moods and scenarios.
3. She is family to John and Nicholas and gives Kate a run for her money, which is fun to watch.
4. She has the potential for many different storylines, and is one of the veteran actors; don't let the show develop into a teenage showcase.

Obviously they have run out of things for "Auntee Viv'to do, because Louise is just to darn pretty for that title anymore. ...So use your imagination - hire new writers - good actors are hard to come by!

Dismissing Louise Sorrell would be a tremendous loss to Days of our Lives. Currently all the characters are somewhat similiar. Ms. Sorrell and her character add flavor to the show. I hope you will reconsider your decision. There would be a huge void without her on the show.
Her character is one that everyone enjoys and remembers. She also appeals to a different age group and gives the show balance.
Louise is a versatile actress who can play both a villianess and a comedian. I love the character of Vivian, not only because of all her great attributes, but because she provides a balance to all of the young characters on the show. Vivian is also like a breath of fresh air as opposed to Kate, who is full of sighs and "Oh God"s. I think it is important for the writers/producers to understand that by adding more young people to the show, they are at risk of losing many longtime viewers, including myself.
Good Or Bad, Louise Sorel is the most interesting AND complex character actor on the show. The show is already losing ground because of the long and drawn out Hope/Gina storyline. That became so boring!!! Please keep 'Vivian' on the show.!!
NBC/Corday Productions are caving into the teen mode and can't keep the cast members there that made DOOL the show it is today. The newer teen casts on the show are OK, but I'm afraid that DOOL is going to lose some of its longtime viewers if the show continues to trend towards Beverly Hills 90210. Louise Sorel has provided so many laughs and brought genuine humor to the show. She is such an asset to the show. I can't imagine why they think she is no longer needed. What a terrible decision NBC/Corday Prod. has made. The show will not be as entertaining with Sorel gone. You have made a mistake that will likely hurt the success of the show, or at least anger all the longtime fans of DOOL. PLEASE reinstate Sorel's contract. She is a gem.

Mr. Corday, I was distressed to hear the news that you have decided that the character of Vivian is no longer important to my show. As a faithful viewer of 15+ years, I strongly disagree with this decision and hope that you will reconsider. Louise Sorel is a talented, multifaceted actress and has made Vivian a thoroughly enjoyable character. She is a villainess that the fans adore. Her deep love for Victor, her zany antics, her ability to steal any scene she is in has made her a true fan favorite. There is also the matter of comic relief, something Days really can't go without right now. Vivian and Ivan are uproariously funny and I have so enjoyed watching their many escapades. The fans had such high hopes when you took over as head writer, Mr. Corday. We anticipated a return to the glory "Days" of the show but despite some improvement, we are still being disappointed by moves such as this. I understand you are interested in gaining ratings, which is why we are being subjected to the "teen scene", but removing a huge fan favorite to seemingly make room for these teens is a tremendous mistake. In doing so, you are failing those same longtime fans who make up your true ratings. Please think long and hard about whether you want a few kids who "drop in" from time to time to see a Dawson's Creek spinoff or whether you want the longtime fans who tune in faithfully every single day to see the characters they know and love. I agree with the other DOOL fans! Vivian's character is unique. She is 3-dimensional and adds so much color to the show. She is intelligent, worldly, funny, charming and graceful. Louise Sorel is the only actress that can pull it off and not seem snobby or stuck-up. Eliminating her character can only be for one reason - lack of storyline. (which is not her fault - so why is she being terminated?) I am sure your writers can find some riveting plot that includes Vivian- afterall - she is a colorful character. Please rethink your decision and do not deprive "Days" fans of Louise Sorel's talents .
She is fun and we all love her we never know what she is going to do next but what ever it may be you can bet it will send you at the edge of your seat lol . plus i wont to see her and victor to Geather they belong togeather and they should put kate with Nicklos. please dont let Viv GO Sandy PS We Love you Viv stay with us
Louise Sorel is one of the finest actresses ever to appear on Days of Our Lives and I can't believe you are letting such a great talent go. She is very dear to all of us fans and we hope you reconsider your decision and renew her contract. Days would not be the same without her talent, beauty, grace and charm. Her portrayal of Vivian Alamain is wonderfully funny and so very entertaining. We fans love her and want her to remain on Days!!!!! Please listen to and respect what we have to say.
