This is a close-up of the top MOC photo. Look in the top left corner. Amazing, isn't it? This structure is so clearly anomalous, so clearly out of place, and textured quite unlike the surrounding terrain, it really catches the eye.

This feature is about 152 pixels long by 88 pixels wide (425m x 245m or 1396 x 808 feet). If you can't see it, I've outlined the area I'm referring to:

It seems to have a slightly raised rim all around the top.

Let's zoom in a little closer:

Is this a geological formation? Is it the wreckage and debris from an ancient civilization, badly damaged from millenia of exposure to the sun, heat and cold, wind, and Martian sandstorms?

Could it possibly even be an installation that is currently in use? Let's examine some closer-up details and see if we can answer this question.
