Croppin' For A Cause

Croppin' For A Cause was a HUGE success!!! I am still overwhelmed by the day!!! WOW!!! What a wonderful group we had there. Thanks so much to everyone that came. It was so wonderful to make some new friends and see some old ones. We had people from all over Georgia and my wonderful loving friend that always comes from North Carolina. Thanks CAM!!! Jenee too!!! Thanks to all the Georgia Scrappers and Oxford Croppers that came. Thanks to my friends on TRAK and Disney Scrapadcts that couldn't make it but were there in spirit. Thanks to the Disney Scrapadcts for donating so much for the crop. I hate that I did not get enough time to sit down and meet all of you and really get to talk. Thanks to those that came up and introduced themselves. I can now put a face with a name. For those that continue to pray for our family thank you so much!!! I hope that everyone had a wonderful time. I will be sending out a questionnaire a little later. If you have time and don't mind filling it out that would be wonderful! We want to make this something you will come back to again and again.

Thanks first of all to Eastridge Community Church for the space! It works out wonderful to have it there.

I just remembered who I left out. The love of my life! The rock! The one that keeps me going! I could not go through this journey without him. I am thankful daily that God planned my life and not myself. God truly knew what He was doing when he brought Mike into my life. I am so thankful that everyday Mike brings our family closer to God and teaches us how to rely on God for our daily needs. Without Mike this could not have happened. Those days when I said I can't do this. This is getting to big. He said yes you can. He kept the girls whenever it was needed. Took the time to dress them, even though it wasn't what I had picked out! LOL!!!, and bring them down to the crop. It's not an easy task I know! I couldn't do it without him. To Mary Elizabeth for blessing me with her loving soul for almost 11 years now. For being my constant in this life. For smiling and lighting up our whole house. For her love and support of her little sister Michala. I know that even if Mary Elizabeth could talk she would not be saying what about me. This crop is done to raise money for Relay For Life in honor of Michala. Never once would Mary Elizabeth be upset. She would step right in and work harder than anyone. I cherish her spirit and long to be like her!  To Michala, our fighter! For being my buddy on this roller coaster ride and letting me know it's gonna be OK. For her dare devil spirit and infectious laugh. For Marlee Anne. What a little fireball she is. For her happy and loving spirit. For loving her sisters and learning from them. For saying mommie. For telling me she loves me and for her hugs and kisses. My mom for loving me even when she thinks I am doing to much and have lost it totally. For always supporting me no matter what. I love them with all of me.

OK now for the most important part and what everyone has been waiting on. I think we counted somewhere between 102-110 croppers. Once I get the list from yesterday I will get a more definite count. Everything was donated so all proceeds go to Relay For Life. Thanks to all those individuals and companies that donated so much. So our grand total for the day is ........... ((((drum roll please))))

$4, 200

Ya'll did it!!! Ya'll raised that much money!!! Thank you so very much!!! I cry each time I tell someone that total because I am so amazed! It has grown into something much bigger than I ever dreamed! I prayed for 100 croppers, telling God at the same time if he would just bless us with 50 I would be very pleased. In the beginning I only planned for 50. He showed me to fully trust in Him. What an amazing God!

My personal goal for our Relay For Life team this year is $5,000. I do not think we will have a hard time reaching that. I would love for us to win the family and friends category this year. We will see!

Thanks again to everyone! Hope to see ya'll in the fall. We're hoping for lots of great items for all those wonderful scrapbook companies. Hopefully some wonderful food from our local stores and restaurants.

Again if I left anyone out I am so very sorry. Please know I am thankful for you!!!
