The brewery onpen about 4 years ago, and was formed by local publicans,
engineers and business professionals. "To produce quality beers locally
to compete at the tap against mainstream beers"
Bays Draught Ale - classic kiwi style draught clean with
mild hop and malt notes.
Bays Dark Ale - a dark beer with all the roasted flavour,
without being unduly heavy.
Bays Gold Lager - pale pilsner style lager with 'flavour
hop' content, a summer beer.
Harleys Premium Ale - slightly dry - long maturing beer
(7 weeks).
Modern purpose built equipment 10,000 litre fermenter/uni-tanks,
5000 litre brew size. Bays Draught, Dark and Lager have all won
bronze awards at the 1995 Australian Beer Awards.
