(AP) -- An autopsy on a man who died while in police custody was inconclusive, meaning authorities will have to await toxicology reports. Robert Chandler, 41, was driving erratically when police pulled him over on Friday. He became combative and hit the officer in the head. The officer then used pepper spray on Chandler, but it didn't successfully stop him. Another officer and a passer-by helped restrain Chandler. At some point, Chandler stopped breathing, and resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful. A preliminary autopsy on Monday couldn't determine a cause of death. A toxicology report will take four to eight weeks, said Sgt. Carlos Valdez, a spokesman for the Tucson Police Department.
