Mesa offers free course on emergency readiness MESA - Mesa residents have the chance to hone their emergency-preparation skills in a free course offered by the Mesa Fire and Police departments. Mesa's Emergency Management Division will present the class from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Public Safety Training Facility, 3260 N. 40th St., in Mesa. The class will cover topics such as where you should go if you have to evacuate, how to find out where to go and what to do, how to prepare for disaster and what the city's preparations are for disaster.
