Associated Press Jan. 17, 2006 05:01 PM

Police in Phoenix are asking for the public's help finding a car belonging to a SWAT team member that was stolen Tuesday morning.

The unmarked dark blue 2002 Dodge Intrepid four-door sedan with dark tinted windows was taken from in front of Mel's Diner on Grand Avenue in central Phoenix while the officer was inside for about five minutes. The car carries Arizona license plate 038-RPS.

The trunk of the car contained numerous items commonly used by SWAT teams, Detective Tony Morales reported. Morales said the department is concerned about the equipment falling into the wrong hands.

Anyone with information is asked to call Phoenix police or their local law enforcement agency.
