The EACS programme was inaugurated by Dr B S Bisht, Vice Chancellor of the university.
3. National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India Sponsored through Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) three days Programme on "FACULTY AWARENESS CAMPS ON ENTREPRENEURSHIP (FACE)" during June 07-09, 2008 at College of Technology, G B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, PANTNAGAR-263145, Udham Singh Nagar District, Uttarakhand State (Coordinated in association with Mr H J Shiva Prasad). The FACE programme was inaugurated by Dr V P S Arora, Dean, College of Agri Business Management (CABM), GBPUA&T. Dr B A Metri, Dean (Academic Affairs), Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, Haryana and Dr Biswajit Satpathy, Professor, Post Graduate Department of Business Administration, Sambalpur University, Burla, Orissa were the guest of honour on the inaugural function
4. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Sponsored through Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) one Week Short Term Training Programme on "HYDROPOWER AND THE ENVIRONMENT" during June 02-06, 2008 at Department of Civil Engineering College of Technology, G B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, PANTNAGAR-263145, Udham Singh Nagar District, Uttarakhand State (Coordinated in association with Mr H J Shiva Prasad). The training programme was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr A P Sharma, Vice Chancellor, GBPUA&T. The guest of honour on the inaugural function was Er T C Gupta, General Manager, NHPC Limited, Tanakpur Hydel Power Station, Banbasa. Participants from Bhutan country and 10 states of India including industries attended this training programme
5. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Sponsored Two Weeks Staff Development Programme on "HYDROPOWER AND THE ENVIRONMENT" during June 18-29, 2007 at Department of Civil Engineering College of Technology, G B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, PANTNAGAR-263145, Udham Singh Nagar District, Uttarakhand State (Coordinated in association with Mr H J Shiva Prasad). The training programme was inaugurated by Dr P L Gautam, Vice Chancellor, GBPUA&T and the guest of honour Hon’ble Shri Shashikanth Naik, Hon’ble Minister for Horticulture, Government of Karnataka also spoke on this inaugural function. Dr P L Gautam was also present during the valedictory programme and distributed the training certificates to the participants.
6. Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC), Department of Science & Technology (DST, GOI), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India sponsored Regional Interactive Workshop on “Networking on Bio Diversity, Climate Change and Ecosystem Services in Mountains” (Coordinated in association with Dr Uma Melkania and H J Shiva Prasad) during March 08-10, 2007. Dr P L Gautam, Vice Chancellor, GBPUA&T was the Chair Person. Dr Rajendra Dhobhal, Director, Uttrakhand Council for Science and Technology (U-COST) and Dr L M S Palni, Adviser, Govt. of Uttrakhand were the Guest of Honours during the inauguration of this training programme. US delegation of scientists were the Chief Guests and Dr P L Gautam, Vice Chancellor, GBPUA&T was the chair person during the valedictory function.
7. Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC), Department of Science & Technology (DST, GOI), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India sponsored National workshop on “Integrated Management of Natural Resources in Mountains” (Coordinated in association with Dr Uma Melkania and Mr H J Shiva Prasad) during November 28-December 02, 2005. Dr P L Gautam, Vice Chancellor, GBPUA&T was the Chair Person. Dr S P Singh, Vice Chancellor, H N B Garhwal University, Srinagar-Garhwal was the Guest of Honour and Dr Uppeandra Dhar, Director, G B Pant Himalayan Institute of Environment and Development, Almora was the chief Guest during the inauguration of this training programme. Dr R B S Rawat, Chief Project Director, Watershed Management Directorate, Govt. of Uttaranchal was the chief Guest and Dr P L Gautam, Vice Chancellor, GBPUA&T was the chair person during the valedictory function
8. AICTE sponsored One Day Workshop on "Environmental and Pollution Awareness in Hilly Areas" during October 01, 2004 at College of Technology, G B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, PANTNAGAR-263145, Udham Singh Nagar District, Uttaranchal State. Dr R Natarajan, Chairman, AICTE, New Delhi was the Chief Guest and Dr P L Gautam, Vice Chancellor, GBPUA&T was the chairperson during the inaugural function of workshop. 9. AICTE-ISTE sponsored one week Short Term Training Programme on "Advances in Hydraulic flow Measurements" during June 14-19, 2004 at College of Technology, G B Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, PANTNAGAR-263145, Udham Singh Nagar District, Uttaranchal State as Co-Coordinator.

·         The International German Summer School of Hydrology (IGSH-2007) on “HYDROLOGY AND WATER MANAGEMNET IN MOUNTAINOUS CATCHMENT AREAS” held during August 12-25, 2007 at Bochum, Germany Organized by Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany sponsored by United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

·         Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) sponsored and organized through the International Centre for Hydropower (ICH) training course on “LEGAL FRAMEWORK IN HYDROPOWER DEVELOPMENT (LFHD2007)” held during March 19-23, 2007 at Oslo, Norway.

·         Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) sponsored and organized through the International Centre for Hydropower (ICH) training course on “HYDROPOWER AND THE ENVIRONMENT (HE-2006)” held during September 04-21, 2006 at Trondheim, Norway.

·         Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) sponsored organised through the International Centre for Hydropower (ICH) and Hydro Lab Private Limited, workshop on HEADWORKS DESIGN WORKSHOP WITH THE THEME ‘HEADWORKS DESIGN IN STEEP SEDIMENT-LOADED RIVERS’  held during Novemebr 13-20, 2005 at Kathmandu, Nepal.
