I wrote this after a friend of mine tried to kill herself. Fortunately she was ok, but many others aren't so lucky. This
is directed at the people who drive them to it by making their lives hell.
Suicide Is Painful
Mary's dad beat her
Chucked her out in the rain
Kevin's mom yelled at him
Said he was a disgrace
Lil's uncle abused her
In such horrible ways
You fucked with their lives
And now they're gone
So young
Their smiles will never hearten us
Their words will never comfort us
Such empty promises
Unfulfilled dreams
Broken hearts
Their lives extinguished
Like so many candles
On a birthday cake
Birthdays they'll never see
How much more can you fucking take?
So don't you tell me
That suicide is painless
You fucked with their lives
And now they're gone
