Fear

 

Fear is everything in nothing

Boundless and groundless

Of things we cannot touch

Things we cannot see

                There it'll be

Fear is darkness without light

It is despair without hope

Sorrow without joy

It can be here today

But tomorrow it goes

                Who knows?

 

Fear is death

 

It governs our lives

Striking when we least expect it

Holding us down

Pulling us back

An invisible restraint, not easily broken

                Or a token

Its name is seldom spoken

A paradox to all who seek to understand it

It cannot be understood

Only overcome

Fear is rational irrationality

It is senseless sensibility

A cure worse than the disease

                Help me please
