I heard a story once about a young man who loved music.  He couldn't play either instrument and envied those who could. He was heard to say, "if I could only play guitar, I'd be a somebody," and "I have no use in this world."

1st Corinthians 12:14-20 says, "Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be?  If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it."

This passage of the bible shows the answer to this young mans problem.  The young man wanted to play an instruemtn, verse 14 says that the church is made up of many parts.  He thought that only those who could play an instrument had a calling.  God says, "if the whole body were an eye, what would the sense of hearing be?" This young man seen no place in the world for himself, but the word says that God has arranged every part of the body of Christ, just as HE wants them.  What is the use of all guitar players, or all musicians?  Sure they're great but what about all the other aspects?

You see, everyone has a calling and not everyone is called to be a musician, a preacher, or teacher.  But whatever you are called to do, know that God has placed you there for a specific purpose and YOU ARE important to the body of Christ.

I Challenge you to seek after God and discover what he wants you to do!  He has known you ever seince the beginning of time and he formed you in your mother's womb.  You may not be meant to be a musician or teacher, but you are meant to do something.  Seek after God, find your calling and you will never be happier!
