Television

I think that children should not watch too much television

I believe this because all the children that I know spend all evening watching television when they could be reading or out playing with their friends.

Although some people say that T.V. is good because it is educational, sometimes their mummies are letting them watch too much rubbish on it. It is also bad for their health, they could be outside getting some exercise and fresh air. Primary seven children watch more than three hours of television a day which I think is a disgrace!

In conclusion, I think that children should limit the amount of time that they watch television and I hope that you agree with me.

Sleepless Night

I woke up at one
I had a nice bun.

I woke up at two
And I went to the zoo

I woke up at three
And fell down a tree

I woke up at four
And eat an apple core

I woke up at five
And I had a beehive

I woke up at six
And did some tricks

I woke up at seven
And I was eleven

I woke up at eight
And kick the gate
It broke!

Today in Art I made a boat out of clay. First I flattened the clay then I covered the clay round them. I asked my partner if it all right and she said it was brilliant so we went up to the teacher and she said it was excellent, but that it needed varnished and then it would be finished. I was really pleased with it and I am going to buy clay myself. We put out the boat on our landscape which was made out of paper-mache.

Wet Break Blues
Class Poem - March 2001

We had to stay indoors today,
Everyone was bored,
The windows were all steamed up.

Broken crayons fly across the room,
Running children scream and shout,
Everyone pink and sweaty-
And then in comes teacher
Keep quiet! She roared.

Volcanoes in Lanzarote.

The volcano rock can rot. That's why you need to take care of it. The sand is made from volcano rock, they squash the rock and sell it for people to use in their gardens. It is black sand. Maria our tour guide said there might be an eruption.

In the garden I saw Birds singing, Bees buzzing, Insects crawling, Plants growing, People talking, Children looking, Butterflies eating, Flies watching.

Night is…

Night is spooky with ghosts
In the dark under my bed.
Night is dark when ghosts
Creep about my room.
Night is scary when
My dog barks loudly.
Night is rude when
It is in a bad mood.
Night is sad when its
Very bad.
