Dec. 1999 -- MISSION NEWS FROM STEPHEN AND CAROLYN CROCKETT -- Vol. 6, # 2

Can you believe that another year has come and gone already! Where has the time gone? And though it seems to have slipped through our fingers, we can testify to God’s faithfulness every second of the way. We have so much to praise Him for!

  1. For His hand of protection during the many survey trips interior.
  2. For the peaceful National elections.
  3. For a great visit from Stephen’s parents in September.
  4. For the safe delivery of our partner’s baby, Alyssa Grace.

Meet our latest house guest! No, this is not a design taken from one of my paisley ties. This little critter is a blow up of a Giardia parasite that was giving Ashley some problems – just one of the many reasons we covet your prayers for us. Please pray:

  1. For peace. Indonesia continues to be rocked by political and religious unrest. In Irian Jaya the desire quest for Independence continues to grow.
  2. For safety. We have had two break-ins over the last six months.
  3. For continued good health.
  4. For the opening of the doors of effective ministry opportunities.

F I N I S H E D !!!

As we come to the close of another year, we also come to the close of another important step in our ministry here in Irian Jaya. Since February we have been involved in surveying different areas to determine strategic locations for placing ministry teams.

With our preliminary information gathered we are ready to take the next step. We are ready to begin placing teams in some of these remote tribal areas. It is an exciting time for us. Please pray that we will be sensitive to the Lord’s guidance during this time.

We are hoping that we will soon have a replacement for us here in Sentani so that we too can make that move interior. Our hearts continue to be burdened for the people in the Maniwo valley and we are ready to start focusing on our ministry in this direction.

Thank you so much for your faithful support of us through prayers and gifts.
