Heather Badke is from Boise, ID, where she began studying violin at the age of 5. Along with her two younger brothers (Andy, cello and Stephen, piano) she played in a piano trio that was locally popular and she was the state solo winner for Idaho three years running. She is now a junior at the Eastman School of Music, where she studies with Zvi Zeitlin. |
| She spent last summer at Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, CA, where she studied with Zvi Zeitlin, and has also attended Encore School for Strings, the Marrowstone Music Festival, the Olympic Music Festival, and the California Summer Music Festival. While still in high school she was the youngest member of the Boise Philharmonic Orchestra, where she played for 3 years. |

When time off comes around she can often be found skiing - water or snow, depending on the season, or spending time with her family. She recently purchased a 1993 Greg Alf violin. | |
