includes useful articles on international tech comm as seen from the translators' and translation companies' perspectives.

practical tips for those engaged in a broad range of international tech comm activities. Intercom The monthly
magazine of the Society for Technical Communication (STC). A column titled "International Technical Communication"
features a topic in this area in each issue. In addition, feature articles sometimes give added space to international topics.
The May 1998 issue was devoted mainly to international tech comm. Contributions to the international column can be sent to

(Intecom), the federation of national technical communication associations, based primarily in Europe. The magazine often
includes articles and commentary on international topics such as translation issues and controlled language as well as generic
topics in tech comm, such as usability and document design. Even the generic topics take on an international and intercultural
