Red Guardsman
Alter Ego: CLASSIFIED
Occupation: Special Forces Officer
Known Relatives: unknown
Group Affiliation: the Red Guardians
Base of Operations: Moscow

Background/History:
The true story of the Red Guardsman can not be verified. The rumors are that soldiers for the Czar in 1908 were sent to investigate the Tunguska explosion site and found odd debris. One officer in particular found a large, shiny dish-shaped piece of some sort of metal. He attempted to pick it up and, for unknown reasons, passed out on top of it. He was found unconscious some time later. He remained in a coma for weeks and awoke stronger and faster than any normal human. He became the first known Russian super powered hero and was used in a covert manner for years until the emergence of All-American. The decision was made to make him a Russian version of America’s hero. The odd metal object was roughly the size of a shield and they gave it to him to use. He continued in that capacity into WW 2 where he teamed with All-American and the Lords of Liberty on a couple of occasions, including the final battle with the Nazi super-villains. He survived that battle with a huge scar on his face and one eye missing in the odd position of owing his life to All-American. After the war, he mainly operated in the USSR and was very active as a spy during the Cold War. Although he seemed to age very slowly, he used various experimental treatment and cybernetics to keep on top of his game. His talents and skills are too numerous to list, suffice it to say his abilities of disguise and mimicry are equal to his battle prowess. As the number of super-heroes grew, the Russians attempted to figure out how the Guardsman got his powers and experimented with the remaining pieces of Tunguskan debris. Dr. Koloff discovered that a particular DNA sequence was necessary to be affected by the Tunguska debris. They eventually fashioned weapons and created the team of Red Guardians that the Guardsman leads to this day. Only a tad slower than in his prime and more than wise enough to compensate, he is one of the most feared opponents in the world.

Personality/Motivations:
Totally patriotic and blessed with a tactically oriented mind, he was perfectly suited to the position of symbol of his country. Perhaps due to his age, he has a very honorable approach to life and has always been proven to be a man of his word. He will stop at nothing short of breaking his word to accomplish whatever task he has before him. He generally responds in kind during battle, although he has no compunction about killing when necessary, he generally will only kill someone who tries to kill him.

Quote: "I will do whatever is necessary, on that, you may stake your life."
