Now that we have dismissed the unbiblical idea of some unwritten "8th day of Creation" , Lets see what the Bible actually says about Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden...

     And Adam called his wife's name Eve;
because she was the mother of all living
.

Genesis 1: 20
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21
And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22
And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23
And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24
And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25
And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

26
And God said, Let us make man (Strong's #120) in our image, after
our likeness: and let them have  dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of
the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that
          creepeth upon the earth.

27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them
[We have identified this first couple as Adam & Eve from

Eighth Day Man? .... you knew this all your life, until someone changed your beliefs!]
28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Adam & Eve were told to multiply!  To reproduce!

This was the very first command
given to them by God !!!

They had conceived children before Cain & Able !

Gods warning to them wasn't to

not reproduce, as we have just seen
they were instructed just the opposite!

They were told to multiply !

(we can like it or not, but that's what's written.)

This plainly written fact will also explain the identities of the other peoples on earth, in the "land of Nod", and the reason they would have wanted to kill Cain in the first place, without having to add some unwritten "8th Day of Creation"!

Consider vs. 28,
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: ( to subdue the earth, wouldn't that include dirt farming , especially since we have already been told they were to use herb & fruit seeds?) and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Were Adam & Eve having children before the fall?, did you read what the above verse said?  If so, you should see the answer.

Gen 2: 24 ( Adam is speaking here ) "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.  Doesn't this indeed declare that Adam & Eve were having children in the garden? How  else would this declaration of leaving one's "father & mother" to form their own family make sense except that Adam & Eve were in fact having children in the garden, & these children went on to have their own families. Isn't this what is truly being said ?

25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

We don't know exactly how long Adam & Eve were
              in the garden
before the fall. It could have been
many generations !   Remember,  death  had not
entered into the world yet !  There could have been
generations upon generations 'multiplied' upon earth by
              this time!

MOVING TO AFTER THE 'SIN IN THE GARDEN'...

Death did not enter the world until the expulsion of Adam & Eve
from the garden, therefore, Cain & Able were significant as the
first mortal offspring, but not the first offspring....

Genesis 3:16Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

"greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception;"  Wouldn't Eve already have to be conceiving to have the "sorrows"of childbirth  "multiplied"?

Doesn't this actually say that Eves Subsequent pregnancies
would be more difficult?

This tells us she was already having children  !

         LISTEN TO
Gen 3:20 !

And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
"she  was the mother of all living"   This statement was made long before Cain & Able, WHAT sense would this statement make if there weren't already other children born to Adam & Eve
WHY
would she be called this if it was not
already so?

  Remember Gen 2: 24

( Adam is speaking here, before the fall, before Cain & Abel's birth) "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife:

This would explain why Cain would say...

Gen 4:14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me

Gen 4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

It's likely Cain's wife was from the offspring of Adam & Eve who had already done what God had first commanded  of them, to "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth,"  This is where the inhabitants of the land of Nod came from !

This also explains...

Why
every one would want to slay him?

How  every one would know what he had done?

Because every one was descended from Adam & Eve ! ...and still living as extended family.

This is HOW
every one knew WHO Cain was, and WHAT Cain had done and  WHY every one want to slay Cain!

Remember, the mark was placed so Cain would NOT  be killed !
