SMITH & WESSON .32 Hammerless Third Model (a.k.a. .32 Lemon Squeezer) |
.32 Hammerless Third Model (a.k.a. .32 New Departure or .32 Lemon Squeezer)-This revolver has a concealed hammer and grip safety, hence the nickname "Lemon Squeezer" make this an ideal pocket pistol. It has a five shot cylinder and a 3" barrel with raised rib. The butt is rounded with checkered hard rubber grips. The finish is nickel and in very good condition. It was manufactured from 1909 through 1937 and about 73,000 were made. Some say that the saftey hammerles design came about when D.B. Wesson heard about a child being injured by cocking and firing one of their earlier pistols, however this story can't be proven. However the concealed hammer make this an excellent pocket pistol. |
