Walkon Atomic Rooster

Born 01.10.08
Heart Tested Grade 0

The daughter of Walkon Atomic Kitten, this young lady has all her attributes and a whole heap of personality!
She made her debut in the show ring at the Mancunian Boxer Club Championship Show at the beginning of April 2009, where acting like a princess she won her class and went on to win Best Puppy Bitch In Show at 6 months and a "whisker"! At her next but one show, Tyne, Wear & Tees Boxer Club Championship Show she repeated her sucess winning Minor Puppy Bitch.

Being a bit of a Prima Donna and being quite roo-ined, "Roo" felt she had to go one better and at the Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show two weeks later, thanks to breed specialist Joe Smith, she went Best Puppy In Breed (beating her kennel mate Walkon Mickey Blue Eyes for top spot), and was shortlisted for the CC.

At her next six Championship Shows "Roo" won three more Puppy Bitch classes including two Best Puppy Bitch and another Best Puppy In Breed awards, despite being only a minor puppy on two of the three occasions. This was to allow her younger kennel mates Walkon Pin Up Girl and Walkon Ain't No Stripes to make their debuts in the Minor Puppy classes!

At National Working & Pastoral Breed Championship Show in July she once again won Best Puppy In Breed, again beating her kennel mate, Walkon Mickey Blue Eyes for the top spot, but this time went one better winning 3rd in the Puppy Working Group

She repeated this at the British Boxer Club Championship Show again winning Best Puppy In Breed, with Walkon Mickey Blue Eyes runner up to her. On this occasion we were thrilled when she was shortlisted for the CC and when she repeated her performance winning Best Puppy In Breed at Bournemouth Championship Show under Barbara Morrison.

By the end of her puppy career "Roo" had notched up 7 Best Puppy Bitch and 5 Best Puppy In Breed awards as well as 1st & 2nd in Junior at Belfast and Driffield Championship Shows, classes she moved into to make space for her younger kennel mates in puppy. In the two weeks following her 1st Birthday she continued to make her presence felt winning Novice Bitch at the Trent Boxer Club Championship and Scottish Boxer Club Open Shows as well as a super Debutante Bitch class at London & Home Counties Championship Show under all rounder Liz Cartledge. Never out the cards she went on to win a lovely Junior Bitch class at South Wales Championship Show under breed specialist Jenny Whitaker and ended the year as Top Puppy 2009 as well as Top Working Puppy 2009.

A further three 1st's in Junior followed from her first four shows of 2010, the highlight being when she won her first RCC in February at the Midland Boxer Clkub Championship Show under breed specialist Steve Gething and was shortlisted the following week at the Scottish Boxer Club Show under breed specialist Betty MacDonald.
A week later at the Mancunian Boxer Club Pup Of The Year event we were more than thrilled when she took the top spot as Pup Of The Year!

She continued her run of success next time out at the Essex & Eastern Boxer Club Championship Show where under all rounder Jeff Luscott she once again won Junior Bitch. At the Tyne Wear & Tees Boxer Club Championship Show under breed specialist Sue Malcolm she again won her class, Graduate Bitch going on to win her second RCC.

A further five more 1st's in Yearling & Graduate Bitch classes followed at Birmingham National, Three Counties, Windsor, National Working & Pastoral Breeds and the Trent Boxer Club Championship Show where under breed specialist Greg Dowall she won her 3rd RCC before taking a few months off.

On returning to the ring in March 2011 at CRUFTS, under breed specialist Helen Banks she won Post Graduate Bitch and the RCC, her 4th and the third to her kennel mate Ch Roamaro First Issue By Walkon! During May, June and July she won a further Four Post Graduate classes at Birmingham National, SKC, Blackpool and National Working & Pastoral Breeds pushing her up into Limit along with her kennel mate Walkon Pin Up Girl. Consequently she took another break from the ring returning for the last couple of shows for the year when Pin Up Girl had moved up to the Open Bitch class.

She started 2012 with a 2nd at manchester Championship Show and the next week at the Anglian Boxer Club her 1st Limit win under Denise Pye. We look forward to campaigning her this year.
