Ch Roamaro First Issue By Walkon

Born 27.12.06 to 19.01.19
Heart Tested Grade 1

"Ishy" was the first of Ch Walkon Made'n Issue's pups to enter the show ring. We mated him to Ch Roamaro Razzle Dazzle For Walkon and as previously agreed with Mandy & Richard Laidlaw, registered the litter under the Roamaro affix.

With her kennel mate Walkon Casinoroyale still a puppy we delayed bringing "Ishy" out until she was 8 months old. Her first outing was at the 2007 City Of Birmingham Championship Show where under international all rounder Mao Persson she won VHC in a strong Minor Puppy Bitch class and despite the long distance travelled and overnight in the car, nothing phased her and she showed like a veteran!

Her next outings, at the end of September, were "across the water" where at The Irish Boxer Club Championship Show under breed specialist Lesley Wearing she was 1st in Puppy Bitch and the next day at Belfast Championship Show was 3rd under breed specialist Frank Wildman qualifying for CRUFTS on both occasions.

For the remainder of 2007 "Ishy" was 1st or 2nd in every puppy class entered at Championship Shows and finished as one of the years Top Puppies qualifying for the Manucunian Boxer Club Pup Of The Year competition.

She started 2008 well. At the Midland Boxer Club Championship Show she was 1st in a strong Junior Bitch class and the following week at the Mancunian Boxer Club Pup Of The Year competition she was 3rd Best Bitch.

Throughout 2008 "Ishy" was rarely out of the first three placings at Championship Shows winning her first RCC at the Scottish Kennel Club Show in August from Novice Bitch under breed specialist Judy Alton. A second RCC followed in September at the Irish Boxer Club under another boxer specialist Olavi Tuovinen from Finland and to our absolute delight she won the CC at the last two shows of the year under breed pecialist Helen Banks and all rounder Derek Smith bringing her tally to 2CC & 2RCC for the year!

In addition she was Best In Show at the Scottish Boxer Club Open Show in October 2008 under breed specialist Edwina Kane and along with her kennel mates Ch Walkon Made'n Issue and Ch Walkon Bunny Girl qualified as one of the UK's Top Dogs of 2008 for the Cotswold Boxer Club Dog Of The Year.

2009 stared well with a 1st at Crufts in Mid Limit Bitch under breed specialist Jenny Townshend and 2nd the following week at the Scottish Boxer Club Championship show in a strong Open Bitch class behind the CC winner. She won the RCC at the Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show under breed specialist Joe Smith bringing her tally to 2 CC's & 3 RCC's, just three days after she and her father Ch Walkon Made'n Issue were 5th & 6th at the Scottish Kennel Club's Top Show Dog (all Breeds) Of The Year event!

At her very next show - Southern Counties, under Sweedish Judge Annmarie Maeland, "Ishy" won her 3rd CC becoming our 19th Champion and we belive a very well deserved one.
Blackpool, Windsor and East Of England Championship Shows followed where she continued her run of sucess winning the CC on all three occasions, under breed specialists Isobel Edison and Linda Carnaby as well as all rounder Peter Bailey.

Following another two RCC in August at the British Boxer Club and Bournemouth Championship Shows under Eddie Banks and Barbara Morrison, "Ishy" won her next three Open Bitch classes including those at the Irish Boxer Club and Belfast Championship Show where she won another RCC & CC, under Johan Kieser and Malcolm Gray. At Belfast, under Bob Gregory she then went on to take 3rd in the Working Group!

At the end of November at the South Wales Boxer Club Championship Show, under breed specialist Jenny Whitaker, she won another RCC and at the next show, The Costwold Boxer Club Championship Show, under Portugese judge Mr Poao Vasco Pocas she went won the CC & Resreve Best In Show. She finished the year as Top Boxer Bitch 2009.

At the first four shows of 2010 "Ishy" won all four Open Bitch classes and the CC on two of these occassions, at Manchester under all rounder Meg Prunell-Carpeneter, and at the Midland Boxer Club under breed specialist Steve Gething where she went on to win Best In Show. On the fourth occasion she won the RCC under breed specialist Betty MacDonald.
Her next outing was the Cotswold Boxer Club Dog Of The Year where under three judges - Siguard Wilberg, Paola Watten and Edna Woods she won Bitch Of The Year out of a star studded entry!
Within four days she was off to Crufts where under all rounder and breed specialist Kari Wilberg she made our dream come true winning the CC & Best Of Breed before going into the "Big Ring" and under Zena Torn-Andrews amazed us by winning Working Group 4, live coverage of which can be seen on our news page under Crufts 2010.

Keeping up her winning run,"Ishy's" next shows were the Essex & Eastern, Mancunian Boxer Club & Northern Boxer Club Championship Shows where she won the RCC at the first and CC and Best In Show at the next two, under Jeff Luscott, Christine Ellingworth and Piet Rosenboom respectively.

Her next show was Tyne, Wear & Tees Boxer Club Show where, under breed specialist Sue Malcolm, she once again won the CC & Best In Show. Having won every Open Bitch class bar two this year "Ishy" went on to win another 8 CC's from May to September at Southern Counties under Ole Staunskjaer, Border Union under Frank Wildman, Wndsor under Tim Hutchings, National Working & Pastoral Breeds under Lesley Wearing, Leeds under Shirley Butters, The British Boxer Club under Ian Bassnet, The Welsh Kennel Club under Pat Heath and The Scottish Kennel Club under Margaret Wildman. in addition she won the RCC at Three Counties under Paul Russell.
On top of this she won 5 Best of Breeds winning Best In Show at the British Boxer Club Championship Show in August and, Group 3 at Southern Counties and Group 1 at Windsor under Liz Cartledge, Leeds under Ben Frost-reynolds and The Scottish Kennel Club under Andrew Brace. In addition she gave us our first Reserve Best In Show at a general Championship show at Windsor!

Following straight on from her Group win at SKC "Ishy" won her 23rd CC at The City Of Birmingham Show under all rounder Stuart Mallard. At Belfast and Driffield Championship Shows at the end of September she followed this up with another CC & RCC under breed specialist Malcolm James and All Rounder Christina Chapman repectively.
By the end of 2010 "Ishy" had won her 25th CC at The Cotswold Boxer Club Championship Show under Canadaian All Rounder Jim Reynolds and two more 2RCC's at Midland Counties and South Wales Boxer Club Show under breed specialists Sue Ballinger and Brenda Groves

In addition to her phenominal success in the breed and group rings during 2010 "Ishy" competed for and won the coveted title of The Scottish Show Dog Of The Year 2009 - All Breeds. To win such an award is a dream of a lifetime and having already won the 2003 title with her Great Uncle Ch Roamaro Fun In The Sun With Walkon it was also unbelievable!

"Ishy" won 25 Open Bitch classes during 2011, winning a staggering 20 CC's in the process. Her first was in March at CRUFTS, under Helen Banks and her last was at the LKA under Nigel Rawlings in December. It was however a year like no other and one that saw the pinnacle of our showing career. Not only did "Ishy" win another 3 RCC's but she won Best of Breed fourteen times and had the opportunity to represent the breed in the Group ring eleven times winning the Working Group on three occasions at Leeds, Driffield and LKA. She was also Working Group 2 three times at Bournemouth, The Welsh Kennel Club and Belfast, asll as a Working Group 3 at Richmond.
Her ultimate achievement however was a first for the kennel when she won Best In Show at Leeds Championship Show in July under the international all rounder Moa Persson and unbeliveably repeated this with Best In Show at LKA, the last show of the year, under the UK well known all rounder Albert Wight! To say we were thrilled was an understatement and we cannot express just how proud we are of her achivements

At the present time she has won 45CC's, 17RCC's, 25 Best Of Breeds, 8 Boxer Club Best In Shows , 6 Working Group 1's, 3 Working Group 2's, 3 Group 3's, a Group 4 placing, a Reserve Best In Show All Breeds and 2 Best In Show All Breeds.

Royally bred as her pedigree shows we look forward to her continued campaigning during 2012.
