Well look no more- cuz here's a sweet little deal that I think you'll like veeeery well. A friend of mine, JSLSRA knows a friend of her mom who is a toy manufacturer for the main Nick building in New York. What does this have to do? Well, JSLSRA says that if you e-mail her Zim merchandise ideas, she'll give it to this friend who will share it with the other toymakers! So e-mail, e-mail, e-mail if you reaaaaally have a toy that you're just aching to get created. There's no guaruntee, of course, but at least we can hope to avoid cheesy merchandise (It's hug n' glow Zim!) I got this from Zel a while back. She e-mailed Hot Topic. The reply reads: Hot Topic will be the ONLY store to have Invader Zim merchandise until next spring!!!(2002)
We'll have t-shirts available later this month(Nov. 2001). Watches, hats, lunchboxes, keychains, and clocks should be out next month (Dec. 2001).

Tower Records are selling them for 12.99, the shipping/handling price accounts, of course, if you order them online (but it'd probably be best to just go out and get them. You also will probably be able to buy them from Kid Rhino or The Wherehouse, but neither have pricing set up. Okay. There's more! But it doesn't really pertain to Invader Zim, exactly. For those flocking to the San Diego Comic-Con, ZIM is being paired on a panel with "Fairly Oddparents" for no other reason than Nickelodeon's lazy publicity department. Hapless hearts torn between Jhonen Vasquez and the simultaneously-running Kevin Smith panel should know that the "Oddparents" half of the Nickstravaganza is slated to run first, so they can discretely sneak away from Kevin after half an hour and make the ZIM Shindig of Love. I'm sure Kevin won't be hurt. 2. They will be screening one, possibly two new episodes of ZIM -- which episodes are not yet determined -- after which, Jhonen will pretend to answer questions from the audience. ("Jhonen, ARE you actually trying to take over the world through children's television?") 3. Yes, the accursed streak of reruns will end in August, and a whole slew of new epsiodes are slated to come down the pipe. Among them are such titles as "Bad, Bad Rubber Piggy," "Invasion of the Idiot Dogbrain," "A Room With a Moose," "Hamstergeddon," "Bloaty's Pizza Hog," "A Plague of Babies," and others. Ok, ok, here's a hint: Both of them are either AT or IN Zim's house. One you have to have a password to get inside (you have to give the answer to a trivia question Zim asks... don't e-mail me asking me what it is, 'cuz I'm not giving it... well, ok... maybe...), and the other is just really well hidden. Checked out Nick.com lately? You may notice that the Invader Zim site announces that new episodes begin August 17, 9 p.m. (eastern & pacific) and 8 p.m. (central). I was kind of hoping it'd be at the beginning of August o.o Oh well. You get what you can take, right? 7/1: I was reading through some reviews of Invader Zim and found this nifty bit of info from MTV Networks. Direct quote:
In "Bad, Bad Rubber Piggy," ZIM builds a time machine to rid the world of Dib forever, but due to a miscalculation, the only object that can travel back in time is GIR's toy pig. When ZIM's plan backfires, Dib becomes more threatening then ever.
This seems to be an interesting episode never shown. Hopefully it will show up in fall's continuation of Season One. 6/26-Well, I found some news that I felt had to be said ((x.x this means that I'm eventually going to have to make a 'news' page too)). This comes from from Bow To Me, Meatbag! Invader Zim will thankfully continue to air. It's NOT going to be cancelled! In fact, 20 more new episodes will be made for Season 2 alone. Season 1 will continue on with 14 more episodes. The downside? It'll be running reruns until ALL the shows go away from summer break and begin starting up again (meaning we'll have to wait until fall to get the new episodes). The next two episodes, supposedly going to premiere in August, are called "Planet Jackers" and "Zitboy". |
