IN MEMORY OF....

This is Alec's hospital picture... just a few hours old.

What a special baby! Alec was the first child I had seen who laughed at 2 mos old.

He giggled often and smiled all the time. He loved to "steal" his twin sister Megan's pacifier

I remember one time I had put them both in the playpen together, they switched "ninnies".. she had

the blue, he had the pink. When they were in their walkers together, he would reach over and take

her toys too! I had to get Megan toys with suction cups! :)

He truly had his own personality, funny and sweet. He also LOVED to eat!  When he started on

cereal he was in his glory!

This is my angel Alec... so young, so sweet, too soon.

Snoozin with Dad. First day home from the hospital.

Alec is the bright-eyed one in blue.My other angel is Megan, now 4 and such

a joy!

Losing a child is probably the hardest thing anyone would ever have to face. Forever, in every thing that I do there will be a hole... a place in my life where Alec should be. Alec was a twin and his twin sister Megan, along with my family have been a source of strength for me. Sometimes it is hard to look at her and think of all of the fun the two would have together. I just have to feel very lucky to have known him at all.

If I could sit across the table from God

I would thank him for lending you to me.

always and forever in our hearts Alec, you are my angel.

IN MEMORY OF...

This is my Dad... also taken from us early in 1993 at 55 years old.

Clearly not a recent picture, but one of my favorites!

Another favorite. My Dad and Mom, Grandma behind the tree, me (with the hand up)

and my two sisters, Rita next to dad and Anna hidden at the bottom.

My Dad is the one who gave me the name "Gracie" after Gracie Allen. He would always joke that the things that came out of my mouth sometimes didn't seem to cross the brain first (and those who know me will attest to that). Not a man of many words, but one who wore his emotions on his sleeve (without even knowing it.)

A FATHER'S LOVE

FATHERS SELDOM SAY "I LOVE YOU"

THOUGH THE FEELING IS ALWAYS THERE.

BUT SOMEHOW THOSE THREE LITTLE WORDS

ARE THE HARDEST ONES TO SHARE.

AND FATHERS SAY "I LOVE YOU"

IN WAYS THAT WORDS CAN'T MATCH ~

WITH TENDER BEDTIME STORIES~

OR A FRIENDLY GAME OF CATCH.

YOU CAN SEE THE WORDS "I LOVE YOU"

IN A FATHER'S BOYISH EYES

WHEN HE RUNS HOME, ALL EXCITED

WITH A POORLY WRAPPED SURPRISE.

A FATHER SAYS "I LOVE YOU"

WITH HIS STRONG HELPING HANDS ~

WITH A SMILE WHEN YOU'RE IN TROUBLE

WITH THE WAY HE UNDERSTANDS

HE SAYS "I LOVE YOU" HALTINGLY.

WITH AWKWARD TENDERNESS ~

(IT'S HARD TO HELP A 4-YEAR-OLD INTO A PARTY DRESS).

HE SPEAKS HIS LOVE UNSELFISHLY

BY GIVING ALL HE CAN

TO MAKE SOME SECRET DREAM COME TRUE

OR FOLLOW THROUGH A PLAN

A FATHER'S SELDOM-SPOKEN LOVE

SOUNDS CLEARLY THROUGH THE YEARS ~

SOMETIMES IN PEALS OF LAUGHTER

SOMETIMES THROUGH HAPPY TEARS.

PERHAPS THEY HAVE TO SPEAK THEIR LOVE

IN A FASHION ALL THEIR OWN.

BECAUSE THE LOVE THAT FATHER'S FEEL

IS TO BIG FOR WORDS ALONE!!

I miss you Daddy... please take care of my angel Alec for me until we all meet again.

IN MEMORY OF....

The wonderful boy who would have become my brother-in-law.  Although I only knew Jimmy "Jimbo" for a short time he was a very special person. A very kind and giving kid, happy and outgoing.I am so sorry my kids never got to meet Uncle Jimmy, but they know him as if they did.

Jimmy holding my nephew Joey. I believe this is the most recent photo of Jimmy.

Jimmy... you are missed more than you know. Although I only knew you a short time you are very special to me and will always remain in my heart! Boy, with your sense of humor and my Dad's knack for practical jokes... Heaven may never be the same! :)
