A SYSTEM FOR WARNING WRONG-DOERS

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Extremely Merciful.

"Read! And your Lord is Most Generous!"
 (Qur'an 96:3)

This is a presentation of statements from Allah, the Exalted, which condemn the practice of arrogance, greed, murder, breaking agreements, lying, hypocrisy, vilification, ethnic cleansing and supporting injustice. It also presents His, the Exalted, demand for those who practice such wrongs to repent. People and countries should be warned about their lack of credibility, integrity and moral authority (cima) for engaging in the aforementioned activities.

Allah, the Exalted, has commanded: "Let there arise from among you a group inviting people to that which is good, commanding them to do what is good and forbidding them to do what is evil. These are the people who are successful" (al-Qur'an 3:104).

Know that the Prophet (S) has added: "Whoever among you sees what is wrong, let him change it by force. If he is not able to do that, then he must speak out. If he not able to do that, then he must hate it in his heart. That is the weakest of faith" (recorded by Muslim).

They should be requested to repent and change their evil ways. Allah, the Exalted, says in the Qur’an 11:3, “Seek the forgiveness of your Lord, then turn to Him in repentance.” There are four things one must do for one’s repentance to be acceptable. First, they must acknowledge it, find the root causes of their act of disobedience and remove them. Second, they must show regret and remorse for the action. Third, they must be determined not to repeat it ever again. Fourth, they must free themselves of that which rightfully belongs to someone else. If they took something, they must return it, replace it or seek their forgiveness. If they verbally abused someone, they should ask his forgiveness. Allah, the Exalted, says in the Qur’an 16:119, “And those who commit it (illicit sex) from among you, punish them. If they repent, make amends and turn away from it, certainly Allah was and always is One Who accepts repentance and is Merciful.”

Muslims should be on the offensive. They need not try to make themselves acceptable to others or defend themselves from verbal attacks. Every time the kafir, thalim or fasiq opens his or her mouth or does something, they should point out his lack of credibility, integrity and moral authority—past and present. They should ask him/her to repent and change his/her evil ways.

When to Warn! What to Say!

When the following Actions & Statements Occur, Cite the Qur'an:

1. Arrogance (Shows A Lack of Moral Authority)

Allah, the Exalted, condemns Arrogance. Concerning racial superiority Allah, the Exalted has said: "Oh you who believe! A people must not ridicule another people, for it may be that they are better than them" (al-Qur'an, 49:11). "Oh people! We created you from a male and a female and We made you into races and tribes so that you may recognize each other. The most honorable of you in the opinion of Allah is the most God-fearing of you" (al-Qur'an, 49:13).

Concerning arrogance and ignorance, Allah, the Exalted, has said: "When it was said to them: 'Do not corrupt the earth.' They said: 'We are only making things better.' On the contrary, they certainly are corrupters, but they do not realize it" (al-Qur'an, 2:11-12).

Every soldier on foreign soil without the consent of that country’s people and leaders should heed the words of Allah, the Exalted, Who says to the oppressed: "Fight them wherever you find them and drive them out from where they drove you out! Civil disorder is worse than killing and being killed" (al-Qur'an 2:191).

"How many small groups have defeated a large group with the permission of Allah. Allah is with those who persevere" (al-Qur'an 2:249).

Every country concerned with national security should heed these words, "And those who call Our verses and signs a lie, We shall take them gradually from positions they do not know" (al-Qur'an 7:183).

"He is Able to send on you a punishment from above you (like tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, fires), or from beneath your feet (like earthquakes, floods), or cover you with factions (differing with each other according to their own desires), and make you taste each other's harshness (in fighting). Observe how We alternate the signs, hopefully they will understand (that what they are following is false)" (al-Qur'an 6:65).

Let Me deal with such as belie this Qur'an. We shall punish them gradually from directions they perceive not (al-Qur'an 68:44).

2. Greed (Results In A Lack of Moral Authority)

Material gain in moderation and acquired justly is not an evil. Acquiring it in excess and at the expense of harming others is evil. Concerning this, Allah, the Exalted, has said: "Had there only been among the generations before you, people possessing some religiosity, who prohibited corruption in the earth--however only a few of them did so, these We saved. But those who mistreated others (with their corruption and lack of prohibiting it) pursued luxurious and opulent lives while harming others. Your Lord does not destroy a locale because of its wrong-doings while its people are trying to correct wrongs" (al-Qur'an 11:116-117).

3. Murder (Causes A Lack of Moral Authority)

Concerning murders and ethnic cleansing, Allah, the Exalted, has said: "Do not shed each others blood and do not drive each other from your homes" (al-Qur'an 2:84).

Every soldier on foreign soil without the consent of that country’s people or leaders should heed the words of Allah, the Exalted, Who says to the oppressed: "Fight them wherever you find them and drive them out from where they drove you out! Civil disorder is worse than killing and being killed" (al-Qur'an 2:191).

"How many small groups have defeated a large group with the permission of Allah. Allah is with those who persevere" (al-Qur'an 2:249).

4. Broken agreements (Causes A Lack of Credibility, Integrity, Moral Authority)

Concerning injustice, Allah, the Exalted, has said: "Fulfill your agreements, indeed an agreement is something you will be questioned about" (al-Qur'an 17:34).

5. Lies (Shows A Lack of Credibility, Integrity, Moral Authority)

Verily Allah guides not one who is a musrif (a polytheist, or a murderer who sheds blood without a right, or those who commit great sins, oppressor, transgressor), a liar!.

6. Hypocrisy (Demonstrates A Lack of Credibility, Integrity, Moral Authority)

Concerning injustice and hypocrisy, Allah, the Exalted, has said: "Woe to those who give less than what is due. When they receive measure from people, they demand everything that is due them. When they measure the volume or weight due others, they do not give all that is due them" (al-Qur'an 83:1-2) and "It is enormously despicable in the opinion of Allah that you say that which you do not do" (al-Qur'an 61:3).

7. Vilification (Demonization) (Reflects A Lack of Credibility)

8. Ethnic Cleansing (Produces A Lack of Moral Authority)

Concerning murders and ethnic cleansing, Allah, the Exalted, has said: "Do not shed each others blood and do not drive each other from your homes" (al-Qur'an 2:84).

9. Supporting Injustice (Illustrates A Lack of Moral Authority)

Whosoever participates in a good cause will have the reward thereof, and whosoever participates in an evil cause will have a share in its burden. And Allah is Able to do (and also a Witness to) everything (al-Qur'an 4:85).
