In Memory of George Morrow "SgtPap","Nomad"...You will be missed Brother.
George is on the left wearing the Black jacket and holding the Red one...

HEAVEN'S GUARD

He's on his way to guard the gates,
His trials here are o'er.
His tour of duty now must be,
To guard God's heavenly shore.

The frailties of this mortal life,
Are now left far behind.
No more the storms of strife below,
Will cloud this warrior's mind.

When duty called he did his best,
And served his country well.
A Heavenly throne awaits him now,
He spent his time in hell.

One less Marine to stand with us,
One more for Heaven's guard.
We're happy cause we know he's well,
Although we're grieving hard.

We will miss his strength, his words of wit,
As we strive to carry on.
And eagerly await the day,
We gather round that throne.

So go, our brother, on your way
No more your soul must roam.
Angels swing your gates out wide,
Nomad is coming home!!

Day is done,
Gone the sun,
From the lakes,
From the hills,
From the sky,
All is well,
Safety rest,
God is nigh.

Fading light,
Dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky,
From Afar,
Drawing near,
Falls the night.

Thanks and praise,
For our days,
'Neath the sun,
'Neath the stars,
'Neath the sky,
As we go,
This we know,
God is nigh.
God is nigh.

READY = TWO

Rest in peace my brother, George Morrow

For as long as the sun shall rise,
For as long as the stars shall shine,
For as long as the grass shall grow,
For as long as the waters shall flow,
I will remember you my my brother.
My heart weeps, tears flow,
And the sky weeps with me.

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn’s rain,
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

ODE TO A MARINE
In a crowd you're bound to spot him,
He's standing so very tall
Not too much impresses him;
He's seen and done it all.
His hair is short, his eyes are sharp,
But his smile's a little blue.
It's the only indication
Of the hell that he's gone through.
He belongs to a sacred brotherhood,
Always Faithful 'til the end.
He has walked right into battle
And walked back out again.
Many people think him foolish
For having no regrets
About having lived through many times
Others would forget.
He's the first to go and last to know,
But never questions why,
On whether it is right or wrong,
But only do or die.
He walks a path most won't take
And has lost much along the way,
But he thinks a lot of freedom,
It's a small price to pay.
Yes, he has chosen to live a life
Off the beaten track,
Knowing well each time he's called,
He might not make it back.
So, next time you see a Devil Dog
Standing proud and true,
Be grateful for all he's given;
He's given it for you.
Don't go up and ask him
What's it's like to be in war;
Just thank God that it's your country
He's always fighting for.
And thank him too for all the hell
He's seen in that shade of green,
Thank him for having the guts
To be a United States Marine.

What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us;
what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal."
-Albert Pike

"The journey is the reward."
-Taoist Saying

We have shared so much over the last few months,
yet now it seems like it was not nearly enough.
I can only wish I had taken more time,
sent more emails,
talked with you longer.

I know from your character you were right with God and your fellow man.
I know sharing the common bond we have,
that you have always been prepared for the day when we all stand before the Great Architect of the Universe.

Your reward now awaits you my Brother.
Worry not of the earthly obsticles.
Your rightful place now is with God.
I know this to be fact,
for you were one of the most Honorable Men I have ever met.

True to the obligations we both made,
all worries of this world are now lifted and any concerns for your family you know,
are our privilege and honor to care for.
I will cherrish your last words to me forever.

Your memory will echo in the halls of Honor for all eternity and your words of good counsel contiune to whisper in my ear at times of need.

A debt which I can never repay.

I shall miss you my Brother...
