Now released in the states as "Sorcerer Hunters"(god forbid). Anyways, there's one word I can say to describe why I like this series, and the reason it's ranked in my personal elites. Funny. Funny. I'm the type that doesn't think many things are funny, but I found Bakuretsu Hunter funny. Very funny.
Bakuretsu Hunter is a series that is funny, yet has a great story line when it's not all fun and games. The characters are all loveable, especially Carrot, the woman-crazy member who has unlimited energy. Chocolate and Tira, the two sisters are adorable in their original forms, yet they are sultry and seductive in their "other" forms. Marron's constant worry for his older brother, Carrot is touching, as he goes all out to protect his brother. Gato, well, he's built like a buick. A body building obsessed showoff, but he's still cool.
The characters I liked most in the series were obviously
Carrot, Chocolate, and Tira. Chocolate and Tira, sisters, are both hopelessly in love with their "Dahring" Carrot, who
is in love with just about every girl except them. Deep down, though, Carrot loves them too. I love Carrot's enthusiasm to
help others, mostly women to try earning brownie points.. and how Chocolate and Tira are always punishing him back.
No concept is more funny than Carrot transforming into Zoanthropy, destroying the bad guy, and having Chocolate and Tira go into
their domanatrix counterparts and make Carrot "submit" back into his human form. It's such a site for sore eyes ...
Overall? I loved the series. It made me laugh, it made me feel admiration. It's a great series, and for you fanboys, this is something perfect for those lonely nights.
