Drop a Pepple

Drop a pebble in the water:
In just a splash, and it is gone;
But there's half-a-hundred ripples
Circling on and on and on,

Spreading, spreading from the center,
flowing on out to the sea.
And there is no way of telling
Where the end is going to be.

Drop a pebble in the water:
And in a minute you forget,
But there's little waves a-flowing,
And there's ripples circling yet,

And those little waves a-flowing
Till to a great big wave have grown;
You've disturbed a mighty river
Just by dropping in a stone.

Drop an unkind word, or be careless:
And in a minute it is gone;
But there's half-a-hundred ripples
Circling on and on

They keep spreading, spreading,
Spreading from the center as they go,
And there is no way to stop them,
Once you've started them to flow.

Drop an unkind word, or be careless:
nad in a minute you forget;
But there's little waves a-flowing,
And those's ripples circling on,

And perhaps in some sad heart a mighty
wave of tears you've stirred,
And disturbed a life of happness
When you dropped that unkind word.

Drop a word of cheer and kindness:
In just a flash and it is gone;
But there's half-a-hundred ripples
Circling on and on and on,

Bearing hope and joy and comfort
On each splashing, dashing wave
Till you wouldn't believe the volume
Of the one kind word you gave.

Drop a word of cheer and kindness:
And in a minute you forget;
But there's gladness still a-swelling,
And there's joy circling yet,

And you've rolled a wave of comfort
Whose sweet music can be heard
Over miles and miles of water
Just by dropping one kind word.

"Don't Quit"

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learn,
And many a person turns about,
When they might have won, had they stuck it out.

Don't give up though the pace seems slow. Often strugglers have given up
When you might have captured the victor's cup, Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the cloud of doubt. It's when things seem worst that you musn't quit!

A GUIDE TO TV GUIDE

GOOD MORNING AMERICA!!!

TODAY is full of new hope and optimism in THE DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Each 60 MINUTES of this day can be used to further our journey on the HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN. AS THE WORLD TURNS in its self-seeking interests, we as Christians must realize that we live in ANOTHER WORLD.

When we remember that Jesus died for our sins, THE PRICE IS RIGHT. God then calls us "ALL MY CHILDREN."

But sometimes, IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, amid GROWING PAINS, will forget these eternal truths and act like PERFECT STRANGERS to their God. In so doing, they fail to acknowledge WHO'S THE BOSS and become a real WISE GUY in their own eyes.

Acting this way not only puts one's soul in JEOPARDY with God, but it hurts the family as well as our FRIENDS. Without God's truths directing us, FAMILY FEUD's wind up in DIVORCE COURT.

Whether we live in DALLAS or LA, LAW is still law with God. We must let Jesus be the king of our lives (1 Pet. 3:15). And whether you are THIRTY SOMETHING or one of THE GOLDEN GIRLS, you will surely be THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL to God when you walk with Him each day of your life.

Indeed, this is a good day ... enjoy it to the fullest, making the most of your opportunities, for someday we shall all stand in the PEOPLE'S COURT before THE JUDGE!
