Big Feet - Bigger Heart
It was an unseasonably hot day. Everybody it
seemed, was looking for some kind of relief, so
an ice cream store was a natural place to stop.
A little girl, clutching her money tightly,
entered the store. Before she could say a word, the
store clerk sharply told her to get outside and
read the sign on the door, and stay out until she
put on some shoes. She left slowly, and a big man
followed her out of the store.
He watched as she stood in front of the store and
read the sign: No Bare Feet. Tears started
rolling down her cheeks as she turned and walked
away. Just then the big man called to her.
Sitting down on the curb, he took off his size-12
shoes, and set them in front of the girl saying,
"Here, you won't be able to walk in these, but if
you sort of slide along, you can get your ice
cream cone."
Then he lifted the little girl up and set her feet
into the shoes. "Take your time," he said, "I get
tired of moving them around, and it'll feel good
to just sit here and eat my ice cream."
The shining eyes of the little girl could not be
missed as she shuffled up to the counter and ordered
her ice cream cone.
He was a big man, all right. Big belly, big shoes,
but most of all, he had a big heart.

ANGEL........
I am a tiny angel
I'm smaller than your thumb,
I live in peoples pocket,
That's where I have my fun.
I don't suppose you've seen me,
I'm too tiny to detect,
Though I'm with you all the time,
I doubt we've ever met.
Before I was an Angel...
I was a fairy in a flower,
God, Himself, hand-picked me,
And gave me Angel power.
Now God has many Angels
That He trains in Angel pools,
We become His eyes, and ears,
and hands become His special tools.
And because God is so busy,
With way too much to do,
He said that my assignment
Is to keep close watch on you.
When He tucked me in your pocket
He blessed you with Angel care
Then told me to never leave you,
And I vowed always to be there.
I'm your Guardian Angel...
I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"
