Mom's Mighty Fine Blueberry Cobbler

---Best with Wild Blueberries if you can get 'em !---

(a big tip of the hat to Jean Holmes of Beverly Shores, IN for these tasty treats!)

Here's some of the fixin's you're gonna need:

Now the work begins! (And if You can't make this, You better get out of the kitchen!)

Sweeten fruit to taste. Sift flour, baking powder and mix with sugar.
Melt butter in pan you intend to bake in.
Add milk to flour/sugar mixture - pour on top of melted butter And finally - add fruit - do not stir
Cook in 325 degree oven - takes close to 1 1/2 hours to bake.
Batter should be done. Crust will rise to the top.

A scanned picture would appear here, but no one has invented a fast enough shutter speed to capture Mom's cobbler before it disappears down ravenous hatches!

Lip Smackin' Sweet Potato Pie

(Brotherly love is not in existence when these pies are around!)

You're gonna need these goodies!

Don't be messing with nothing different! - No added Spices - you'll screw it up!

Roll up those sleeves!

Use a small sieve to push filling thru to get smooth texture. You'll know when you have it! Important-If you're seeing that stringy sweet potato stuff, keep straining!
Bake in one crust - 450 degrees for 10 minutes.
Lower temp to 350 - Bake until knife comes out clean.
This may make two pies - it did for me when I used store bought pie crusts. Depends on the size pie crusts you have.(Mom makes her own - much better if I do say so myself!)
Now-If you really want to make this special - buy a carton of real whipping cream at the store and make your own whipping cream- yum!
