Ben's words of Wisdom

Ben on E!Online:
Q: With all the changes that have gone on in your life, what do you see as the biggest turning point:?
A:The birth of my brother. I was 3. My mother's water broke at my birthday party, which we were having early. So, they all left and went to deliver my brother..."

Q: Not too many people saw it, but you were really sensational in Going All the Way. What did you think of that movie?
A: It was about the kind of friendship you have once in a lifetime. I think everybody has a friendship like that if they're lucky. I'm lucky enough to have a couple like that in my life.
Q: Who?
A: One is my younger brother, Casey. He was in To Die For and Good Will Hunting. We're very close. I'm very, very close with my mom, whom I think is just a saint. She's a superwoman.

On the Oscars:
"Bumping into Charelton Heston before the event, and chatting with him and he being like all, "I like your movie", and then later, taking a leak next to the guy in the bathroom at the Oscars with my Academy Award on the urinal, Chuck Heston... Moses, pissing next to me, and he's like, "How's it going?", Good Moses, Alright, taking a good leak there I see, Good for you, (looks down) Good for you."

On the paparazi:
"Just for fun, I was all, let me see if I could lose this guy, cause it kind of reminded me of like, back in high school when I would sometimes race my friends back home from school, I was just cruising around, getting on and off the freeway, making u-turns and I eventually got rid of the guy. It's not like I had anything to hide. What he's going to get a picture of me at Carl's Jr? I don't see what the big scandal is. There is no pot of gold at the end of that rainbow. It's just me at Radio Shack picking up batteries."

"I remember back when I was a kid there was a comic strip called Plastic Man. His body was elastic and he could make his extremities as long as he wanted. As a youngster I didn't fully appreciate. But now I'm thinking Plastic Man was probably pretty popular with the ladies."

""I could drink you under the table on a slow night on an empty stomach, but..."

On E! Online:
"It's hard for me to date, anyway. There was a time when I wondered 'Why am I getting more attention from women than I had before'?...Then my friends said, 'Uh, it might have somehting to do with the fact that you're in the movie.'...I was like, "What do you mean? It's not me? [It's] not my charming self?"
