Written by Rich Donnell (who also did "Touchdown Auburn!") and the foreward is written by Vince Dooley. The book was released in 1993. Shug was a part of Auburn for 50 plus years, from around the mid 1920's to 1980, when he died. Just about everything you know about Auburn athletics was influenced or created by Shug. You remember Shug as the Auburn football coach for 25 years, but for the other 25 plus years he helped shape Auburn into what it is today.Truly An Amazing Book - A Must Read!

Released in 1992: This book didn't get a lot of attention, but it actually is very good, especially if you're an Auburn Tiger. I don't see a critic giving two thumbs up on this one, but to a big Auburn fan, It's Gold.If You're Gonna Read "Shug", You Gotta Read This One Too - You'll See Some Similarities In The Two Men.
