Contest II
First and foremost, I would like to thank everyone who played in the first Tigerpath Contest. Last year's winners were: 1st Place: Oridgers, 2nd place: SNAKEMAN, 3rd place: The Buck System. Last August, the Tigerpath Contest was created to show my appreciation to all of you who visited Tigerpath, and it was also a kind of celebration for Tigerpath reaching the 10,000 hit mark. Boy, what a difference a year makes! Going into Tigerpath Contest II, Tigerpath has received over 100,000 hits! I hope Tigerpath has done it's job in the past year by providing you guys with as much information on Auburn athletics as possible, and I owe each one of you a big thanks for making Tigerpath a success, so THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! I hope you enjoy Tigerpath Contest II, and good luck!!!
The Rules!!!
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE RULES SECTION!!! This is pretty simple and will require less of your time to play. You enter once only before September 3rd (10:00pm), then come back every week to see how you've done. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded to the top 3 scores (click on "The Prizes" link below). You will see Auburn's football schedule below. You can begin playing by predicting scores for each game. You must include your contest name and e-mail address. Entries that are not complete will not qualify.
Scoring will be based on the following:
EXAMPLE: Say Auburn is playing LSU. You predict Auburn will win 30-20. That means you think there will be a total of 50 points scored in the game. YOUR ENTRIES SHOULD HAVE THE PREDICTED SCORE OF THE GAME AND NOT THE TOTAL POINTS OF BOTH TEAMS. I will keep up with the total points by both teams, you just predict the score. Let's say Auburn beats LSU 30-21. You predicted 30-20 (50 total points). If you get the exact total points correct, you get 15 points. For every point below and above 50, you will be awarded points down to 1 point.
Correctly predicting the combined points of both teams = 15 Points
1 point from correct total = 8 Points, 2 points off = 6 Points, 3 points off = 4 Points, 4 points off = 2 Points, 5 points off = 1 Point
Correctly picking the exact score and winner of any game = 15 Points
Correctly picking the correct winner of any game = 5 Points
Correctly predicting Auburn's regular season record = 5 Points
Correctly predicting Auburn's SEC record = 5 Points
Total combined points predicted: 50 points (30-20), actual score was 30-21 (51 combined = 8 points awarded to you)
If Auburn had won by what you predicted (30-20), you would have received the maximum 35 points (15 points for picking the exact score and winner, 15 for predicting the exact combined points and 5 for picking the correct winner). Don't get too biased towards Auburn, because you could lose out on points. I know it's hard to pick against Auburn, but you want to get those bonus points for picking the correct winner of the game. This is really simple, and you will get the jist of it real quick. Don't get confused, because all you have to do is predict the score of each game below, and I will do the rest. It's that easy!!!
