We went out every weekend after that till Valentines weekend. on Valentines he bought me a single red rose. then that night we went out and he bought me a teddy bear in a cup with candy and a balloon inside it that said I Love you. I got him a bottle of sparkling grape juice with ballons attached... this was the weekend we called it official and began dating steadily. we spent valentines by going out to dinner at a mexican restaurant and spending time together! that was the night of our first kiss :0) we spent every day together after that...except for when I went to georgia to visit my dad for a week which was in march. that was around the time we began talking marriage. we were engaged the following June! THE PROPOSAL On June 20,2000 me and Devin were at the Jordan River Temple doing temple work. afterwards I asked him if he was ready to go. he said no. I said pondering?? he said yes. so I waited patiently. asked him a bit later he still wasn't ready. (he was planning on proposing then.. little did I realize) finally when ready to go, we left I started heading toward the car and he pulled me back. we stood by the waterfall outside the temple arm and arm. he turned around and looked up at the temple. I said.. are you hinting or something. he said "hinting what?" I said nothing.. he then had us go sit on this bench outside the temple. and we talked and stuff. he felt he needed the ring in order to propose but I let him know that i didn't need the ring to be engaged.. I wanted to stand up and go walk over to the shade and sit on the lawn when going to stand up he pulled me back down, dropped to his knees and asked me to marry him for time and all eternity. I hugged him and said yes of course!! :) he then took me to the store and bought me a dozen beautiful pink roses. when we came home my mom's realtor was at the house showing the house. my mom asks what the roses are for ..I had a huge grin on my face! she asked if he proposed. I said yes. she screamed on top of her lungs with joy and then laughed with embarassment because the people were looking at the house.. that was one of the happiest day's of my life!!( wedding day was the happiest of course) 3 MONTHS LATER... On september 16th we spent the day at the Manti Temple in Manti Utah!
OUR WEDDING DAY!! On September 22,2000 Devin and April were married for time and all eternity in the Salt lake temple at 1:00 p.m . That morning before the sealing we had a wedding breakfast at J.B's restaraunt. after the wedding we had lots of picture on the temple grounds and on the grounds of the Conference Center. then headed back to April's house to primp and press for the reception. At the reception there we had more pictures taken,as well as the line,dancing,cutting of the cake, tossing of the bouquet,garder. Devin also played my favorite song for me on the piano.. "Christophori's Dream" this picture you see here is one of our pictures from the wedding reception which was held at our church house. September 23,2000 at 7 pm-9 pm. we had a open house in syracuse Utah for his family,friends to attend also.
