It's no secret about useing a barrel for a smoker. But I couldn't find any information on the web for a single barrel. The secret is taking your time in finding your material for free or all most nothing.
For a oven I used a 55 gallon barrel free to me my son found one at his job.Usally you can find a empty barrel for 5 bucks.
I used a metal blade for skill saw to cut barrel into.Measured 12 inch inside lip at bottom of barrel from out side this left 10 and 1/2 inches at top of barrel.
I used 1/8 inch angle iron bolted to the cut
barrel half's to strenghten the lips and to close tight.
In the top I used 2lb coffee cans for the smoke stacks, one on right and one on left.Cut 6 inch hole in center bottom of barrel for stove pipe.
For a heat deflector and a water pan.I used a pan thats 2 inches shorter than barrel 10 inches wide and 4 inches deep and 6 inches off bottom.
For a rack holder I used 1 inch wide 1/8inch angleiron bolted to insides of bottom barrel. For racks use what you want I used 1/4 inch stainless steel screen that my son got free from the rock crusher he work's at.
For the frame I used angleiron that my son found for free on his job. Some time's I wonder about that boy.
I used 1/4inch didn't have a cuting torch so I used my hand grinder and hack saw to cut angleiron to lenght.Legs 26 inch widht 22 and1/2 length is lenght of your barrel.
I spot welded barrel to frame it could have been bolted.I used four lawnmower wheels so it's easy to move.
I use and old Franklin stove for a fire box you could use a barrel or build one out of 1/4 inch steel.
All I had to buy was paint and hinge's 13 bucks and
stove 20 bucks and I didn't ask where it came from. It does help to be a Redneck.
