Allen Woody...the best Bassist/Mandolinist in the World

Allen Woody was born on October 2nd 1956. He is the bass and mandolin player for Gov't Mule, a power trio that includes Warren Haynes on vocals and lead guitar and Matt Abts on drums. In 1994, Gov't Mule was born as Allen and Warren collaborated during their tenure as the bassist and slide player for the Allman Brothers Band. Matt Abts had played with Warren in the Dickey Betts Band. Allen is a high powered bassist with a finesse that demonstrates his artistic ability. He also plays a fine mandolin.
