Management information systems (MIS) are playing a larger role than ever before in improving the quality of products and services of organizations across the country and around the world. The rush for ISO and QS-9000 certification has prompted increasing numbers of organizations to use their computer system to handle a host of pertinent quality issues, including document and data control, company- wide accessibility and adherence to System Operation Procedures and Quality Assurance Procedures, and quality trend monitoring and analysis.
The principal purpose of the Survey is to gather information on the
use of MIS (with computer system) by people with their ISO 9000 certificated
companies. It is to help the industry by understanding the ISO certificated
companies regarding their computerization status, evaluation on software
applications installed , and future software requirements . The results
of the Survey will be published in the WWW and will be placed in the public
domain. It is intended that the results of the survey are available to
any interested person and that they will inform and benefit both users
and providers of information in the WWW. Providers will be better informed
and able to produce webs which are of greater interest and relevance to
users.
