TESTING NET2PHONE SOUND:

Connect to the Internet and be ONLINE

Be sure that your Microphone is not too near your speakers since if your
speakers are loud, the sound will be picked up by your Microphone and cause
voice transmission to be distorted and a lot of echo.

Activate/Open Net2Phone by double-clicking the Net2Phone icon/picture
on your computer desktop.

On top menu bar, Click PHONE. If your Sound Card is a Full Duplex,
make sure that there is a check mark next to FULL DUPLEX. This will enable
you to talk handsfree. Half Duplex Sound Cards will require you to
"Press" the "PUSH TO TALK" button when you want to speak and "Release"
it when you want to hear the other party on the line. This is similar to
how you talk on an intercom or walkie-talkie. Keep your eyes on the screen
when you are On-line with a call on Net2Phone so you can see the "LISTEN"
& :"TALK" message on screen depending if you depressed the "PUSH TO
TALK" button.

Click "Adjust Settings" icon/picture of a Volume Control.

Make sure the type of Sound Card in your computer is listed under "PREFERRED
DEVICE". Under PREFERRED QUALITY, select CD QUALITY, RADIO QUALITY
or TELEPHONE QUALITY.
You will have to test the best preferred quality that matches your soundcard
by calling Net2phone operators (FREE) at 90 or 1-800-438-8879 and
asking them for the best reception. Simply call the operators and
let them know which setting you have under PREFERRED QUALITY, then Click
the "Adjust Settings" icon/picture and select another option under PREFERRED
QUALITY, etc. The Net2phone operator will inform you of which setting is
the clearest.

Click APPLY, then Click OK.

On top menu bar, Click FILE, Click SETUP WIZARD

Click TEST.........a recording saying "Welcome to Net2Phone" will be heard

Click ADJUST, then either increase or decrease your speaker volume.
Too loud will cause
your microphone to pick up the sound and cause poor/distorted/echo
transmission. Click APPLY,Click OK

Click TEST......if the volume is to your approval Click NEXT

Click TEST and immediately speak into your Microphone (Not too near as
this may cause voice distortion)......Net2Phone will record your voice
for a few seconds and auto play back your recording.

Click ADJUST.......either increase or decrease you Microphone volume. Click
APPLY, Click OK . Repeat the TEST & ADJUST steps above until you are
satisfied with your recording.

Click NEXT, Click TEST.. Net2Phone Setup Wizard will test your connection
to the Net2Phone Servers.

Click FINISH.
