Happy Valentine's Day!

Yes, yes I realize that this is the holiday that sends many people into a deep depression but for the first time in my life, I *have* someone on Valentine's Day, so what the hell, I'm going to enjoy it.

The colors of the page have changed. Black and white was a little too dismal, don't you think? I recently ran into this color scheme on someone else's page and decided to give it a whirl.

This weekend, I've done: nothing. And that is in the nothingest sense of the word. I woke up at 12:30pm yesterday, got on the phone almost immediately and didn't get off the phone til about 5:30pm. I didn't get out of my pajamas all day. I had almost no human contact. It was really fabulous. Now today, I've had no human contact but it is only about 3:30pm here and I'm sure my roommate will be back tonight but I'm enjoying the silence for now.

The telemarketing job is great fun. On Friday night, I went in at 4pm. From 4-4:45, we played pictionary. The supervisor said, "We're going to play boys against girls" and I thought she meant to see who got the most pledges. And then people started drawing. So we called from 4:45-6pm and then everyone took a half hour break. It's crazy to think I get paid $7/hr for this stuff! But I'm not complaining.

Next weekend: San Francisco. I can't wait!

I believe I've been roped into seeing Rent in San Francisco. Though I'm really not complaining--I mean, obviously I've had more than my fill of the show but I've only seen it live one time and that was in May 98, with like, none of the original cast there. But we don't count the 50 or so times I've watched the opening night video. But Candice has never seen it and this other girl who works for the on campus newspaper, (And I constantly butcher the spelling of her name) Sukjhinder [Sah-jinder] wants to go see it too. So I suppose we'll go.

My furby is breaking new grounds in the world of speech. Yesterday he said "Cockadoodledoo, Cockadoodledoo, me love you!" It was entirely too cute. He hasn't farted in a long time though. I don't know that I should necessarily be worried about this.

Still obsessed with the orgcam. Rebekah was deciding on the final name and I suggested 'orgstalk' and for the next half hour or so, she had that written on her hand. I felt special, in a very insignificant way.

I finally touched base with my best friend of 11 years--one of my oldest friends. I haven't seen her since April. She's since had a daughter and moved out of her fiance's home after he was thrown in jail for domestic violence, in addition to finding out just recently that she has a half-sister! So I felt out of the loop. We promised to keep in touch more often. It was good talking to her again.

Lastly, I'm hanging around a lot more gangsterish people lately, so I'll have lots of good phrases for the Rambler. Stop rolling your eyes, I know how excited you really are.
