Telecommunications for Educators
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Hours of Credit: 3 hours.
Brief Catalog Description:
This graduate course in educational
technology will emphasize an awareness, understanding, and application
of current resources in telecommunications for educators.
It will include knowledge of distance
learning, its development and application.
Information:
Educators
will develop plans for the integration of telecommunication resources into
the existing curriculum.
Prerequisites:
EDU 440 or demonstration of basic technology/computer
skills outlined in “Just In Time” class.
Objectives: By the end of this class,
the learner will be able to:

Demonstrate skills in accessing telecommunications networks,
such as World School E-mail package, Internet, and the World Wide Web

Evaluate the educational appropriateness of these types of
resources and their credibility

Design plans to integrate appropriate resources into the
existing curriculum and/or t examine changes to the curriculum with these
resources

Demonstrate a knowledge of distance learning, its development
and application
