I am grateful to have found your page. Actually, I *was* searching for some more "Dos rules" and "Macincrack sux" homepages. And yes, they are out there. I don't know why but Mac people don't do WinTel sucks pages. And though I don't like "PC bigots" (am starting to detest that term) I don't like Mac users who ignorantly make _their_ silly claims too. None of that helps ANYone. But you know all this...

I only got into the Mac v. PC thing around Christmas 97. My Mac came home in June 1994 (my dad could easily have boughten anything) and suppose I can't really appreciate how easy I've got it. However, I did TONS of reading over vacation, at Apple's Why Macintosh site, and many other sites, on both sides. Only today did I type in "anti apple" at Yahoo and find your homepage, because I wanted to see the "other side's story." And just by today's survey, it seems like a pretty dated and distorted view of the Macintosh.

At any rate, I have been long-winded; all I really wanted to say is thank you for being fair-minded with your homepage--a pleasant surprise. All platforms have their advantages (even if I may think that my Mac is better than my friend's PentiumII;-) and people should be more educated (read: open-minded). Thank you for making a genuine contribution towards that end! (you can quote me if you want, IF you want;-)

I am in the process of learning about the PC world. Basically I can take on any PC user in a discussion, because I've researched the topic pretty well. But I don't want to take that tact anymore. Even though I never "attacked" anyone I don't want to add any more possible bias about the so-called arrogant Mac users in their "Jihad." Some spin tactics, huh?

Anyways, I'll shut up now. Thanks again for the experience...

Once Apple has its customer , they keep them on a tight leash. Apple feeds them wholesome, Apple certified, propaganda about how much better their machine is than the lowly Wintel crowed. The machine makes them feel powerful because it requires little real knowledge of how a computer works in order to operate it. On the other hand, by 1996 standards, the MacOS really can't do very much. It can't deal with truly demanding multimedia (though Mac enthusiasts are always quick to put on a good show), it can't multitask, except in only the most rudimentary ways , and its highly unstable. The Mac user, even when bombarded with wake up calls, remains oblivious. Even those that know better are STILL caught up in the gimmicks. Maybe your wake up call will be NT, Linux, or perhaps the BeBox, because when you do put aside the gimmicks, the Mac, and most Apple products, just don't measure up.

The reason no one ever wins the debate between MacOS and Microsoft crap is that they're both losing platforms. Once you fellows try Unix, if you're serious about computing, you'll never want to go back. Bonus: there are Mac versions and PC versions, and many of them are free.

Have you ever tried to find a PC in the designing-imaging-printing business. I'm a PC user, wanted to print an image, I had to call 10 different printers before I could find one that had a PC. I guess Macs are better for those kind of applications.

Lets face it! PC's are better!...But I use a PowerMac exclusively for graphics. They are a lot faster and smoother for this kind of stuff. Thankfully, PC's are getting closer and will inevitably catch up in this niche of the market.
