Islam As Rational Ideology

Professor (Golam) Azam is a renowned personality in Bangladesh. He took the leadership role in his student life for the struggle of Muslim rights in the British India which lead him towards the leadership role in implementing the Islamic laws in Pakistan and subsequently in Bangladesh.

He lead the language movement, popularly known as "Bhasha Andolon" in 1948 during his tenure as GS of Dhaka University. He was the leader of an Inslamic party the present Jamaat-E-Islami Bangladesh during 1971. The role of Jamaat as an Islamic party was for an United Muslim Ummah in view of Islamic principle of universality, but the popular demand of separation prevailed. Bangladesh was born as an independent nation seperating from Pakistan. His party accepted peoples verdict and the independence of soverign Bangladesh and ever since working for her prosperity.

But unfortunately his political opponents started destroying his image by trying to portray him as evil through their vast media outlets and even cancelled his Citizenship. However Allah's mercy in 1994 he got back his Citizenship through an unanimous supreme court verdict.

He is now a citizen of Bangladesh and Ameer (Chief) of Jamaat-E-Islami Bangladesh.
