From: Highway 6 near Chalfant Valley -- we left the pavement and drove until the sign said 4wd.

To: Black Eagle Camp then High Camp & Champion Mine

Vertical gain:From 6000 feet where we parked to Black Eagle at 7550 then to 9000 feet at High Camp -- 3000 feet

Mileage: 2+4+3 miles

People Factor: 19! leaving Sunday but only 2 after that

Wildlife: Very little

Heinous Factor: The last 1/2 mile to Black Eagle was tiring but the trail to High Camp was washout and very bad.
