Knight #3 Mine Memorial

The following memorial is located just inside Haskell County on the

Pittsburg/Haskell County line northeast of the town of Quinton, Range

          19 East, Township 8 North, Section 30. The following persons were mining

                coal for a smelter in Fort Smith, Arkansas, when the mine exploded, killing all.

They are all buried inside the mine. This site was surveyed by

Charles Shelton of Stigler on 26 October 1998.
