Keiichi is the rather short, somewhat shy, but kind NIT student who ends up living with Belldandy when he dials a wrong number. Before Belldandy entered his life he had a hard time getting a girlfriend, which he blamed on his height. He has wild, dark hair and brown eyes. He is the star driver of the NIT Motor Cycle Club (NIT MCC). He can't swim and is learning FORTRAN 77.

Belldandy is a kind naive person. For example she will allow a girl to take Keiichi out as long as she has him home for dinner. Belldandy is very beautiful woman, with light brown hair (gray hair in the Manga) and blue eyes. Her forehead bears one of the characteristic goddess marks. She uses mirrors as her link between our world and Heaven, as well as for teleportation means. Among her favorite things are Darjeeling tea and the "Prince Of Wales" chocolate brand.

Urd is Belldandy's older semi-wicked, sexy, sister. She uses television as her teleportation medium. Urd has tanned skin and flowing, slightly curled, white hair with green eyes, and like the other goddesses, her face carries the goddess markings. She is the system administrator for the Yggdrasil system in Heaven, she's also the series Cupid . Urd is extremely talented with magic potions, and has a special passion for sake. She likes singing karaoke and is talented at ping-prong ball. Urd's goddess class is lower than Belldandy because she is only 1/2 goddess, the other half is a demon.

Skuld is the youngest of the three goddesses. She first appears while Keiichi was taking a bath. In the Manga, Urd is in the bath instead of Keiichi. She has black hair and dark brown eyes. Skuld never thinks of herself as a kid, and any one who calls her one will get a neo-Skuld bomb in their direction. She is the Yggdrasil system's debugger, Skuld is very good at building all sorts of mechanical inventions, most of do not function the way she intended. Skuld likes 131's Ice Cream(Baskin Robin's 31 flavors), She dislikes Keiichi since she believes that he has taken Belldandy away from her.
Morisato Megumi

Megumi is Keiichi's younger sister, She also attends NIT like her brother. She is about the same height as Keiichi, average length dark hair and brown eyes. Megumi is your typical younger sister. She's a Mechanics Major at NIT, so she's good with engines under Keiichi's supervision. She loves to play softball, and is very good at it.
Mishima Sayoko

Sayoko is the official queen of NIT. She has long, dark hair and brown eyes. When Belldandy arrived, her position as campus queen was threatened and she wished to win Keiichi from Belldandy. At first she thought if she could win Keiichi over Belldandy would leave but later on she realizes that she was feelings for him. A lot of the time she gets help from Aoshima to win Keiichi over.

Aoshima is a slick sleeze ball usually seen hanging around with Sayoko, helping her out with her plans to split up Belldandy and Keiichi. His reason for doing this is simple: he's nuts about Belldandy. In addition to helping out with Sayoko's plans, he's already made several (unsuccessful) attempts at winning Belldandy's heart. Aoshima has normal length hair, dark brown eyes and wears glasses. He's also the head and founder of Aoshima Formula - a rival club to NIT MCC.

Hasegawa is Keiichi's kohai (Underclassman). She suggests employment possibilities to Keiichi to help buy the ring for Belldandy. She has short brown hair, brown eyes, and large, round glasses . She is demure and obedient, in a more muted way than Belldandy's frenzied urge to please. She wears incredibly short yet sexless miniskirts.

Tamiya is one of Keiichi's sempai (senior student) at NIT, He's the head of the NIT Motor Cycle Club. He is a large man with short black hair, small eyes and a big mouth . Tamiya takes the concept of perfecting engines to the extreme and he has a habit of appointing Keiichi to be the driver of the NIT MCC's modified vehicles. Most of which are experimental and have terrible results.

Ootaki is Tamiya's best friend and also another of Keiichi's sempai. He's has long spiky white hair, wears assorted bolts and metal parts in a thick necklace and has spark plugs for earnings. He wears a black leather jacket with a complete set of tools in it and wears his round mirror shades. He's deathly afraid of dogs. Ootaki's girlfriend is Satoko Yaman, a freshman.

Peorth is the fourth and last goddess to appear but only in the Manga. She was a bit surprised that Keiichi didn't want her to grant him any wishes, but later on she started liking him. That's when she starts treating Belldandy as a rival in love. It appears that she is from a rival Goddess Office (which explains her dislike of the other goddesses). She enjoys romance comics, even resorting to steal Skuld's entire collection with her when it was time for her to return to Heaven.

Mara is a demon whose main pastime is to cause trouble for Keiichi and the goddesses. She's got blonde/white long hair. She was good friends with Urd until she became goddess and Mara became a demon. Mahler is a character from the Manga and has only a small cameo appearance in the Anime, where she shows up briefly during the opening animation sequence right before Belldandy saves Keiichi from falling into the water.
