She died in 1835 in Piggott, Arkansas. Asa died in 1862 in Piggott.

Henry Holcomb was born November 17, 1832,
in Shelby County, Tennessee
He moved with his parents to Arkansas in 1836
and the family located in Greene County (now Clay County)
where Boydsville is now. He was ordained as a deacon
at New Hope Church in 1858 and was known to be an excellent singer.
He died March 3, 1917 (or 2-3-1912) and is buried in the
Holcomb Cemetery east of Pollard, Arkansas.
He was also a Mason
and EASTERN STAR LODGE #207 member
(member rolls--1887 to 1945)
He married twice and had 20 children in total:
He married Esenieth Forrest on February 17, 1850.

They had 11 children

  • William Asa, born December 31, 1853(1854)
  • Thomas Franklin, born October 22, 1855
  • James Alexander, born January 28, 1857
  • Francis Marion, born May 9, 1859
  • Mary Ann, born April 3, 1861

  • Martha Telitha, born March 14, 1865
    She married Lemual Settlemoir; Died February 14, 1939
  • Henry Milton, born March 8, 1867
  • Essenith Emeline, born March 3, 1869

Esenieth died on March 24, 1869.
--possibly due to birth complications with last child--
The 1870 census also mentions another female, Mary, age 26,
born in Illinois, in Henry's household.
